My students inspire me! I had a fantastic conversation with a student today who shared a story about standing up for the LGBT community in a recent job interview. She was asked to share her beliefs about Christianity and LGBT people, and she chose to share honestly about her beliefs that God loves and supports LGBT individuals just as he loves and supports all His children. The conversation cost her the job, but demonstrated her ability to stay firm in the face of adversity, and to recognize her privilege as a straight/heterosexual woman.

My family inspire me. As a military family, we face a lot of times when we can't be together making the times we are that much more special.

I was born in Bolivia, South America, and there everyone has a maid. The maids clean people's houses, some live in that house. One of my best friends since I was two lives in my grandmas house, and her mom is the maid. I love to go visit there whenever I get the chance to go back to my hometown. My friend inspires me so much because all her life she's been helping her mom and taking care of her baby sister. I think it's stupid the way people treated colored people back then, because they cleaned their houses and took care of the most precious possessions; their children. My family have never mistreated any of our maids, because they're people and exactly like us.

I read the book in the book club I loved it

i have found three people who hear the same voice i hear in this book. three. i rather like being that outlier.
priviledge is invisible to those who enjoy it.

One of my very best friends is 10 years younger than I am and another is 15 years older. Evidently loyalty isn't determined by age alone. Thank God for that!

My mom inspires me. She is my best friend and my mom.
