Mew Q. This is a request from most of the people I know who've read the Infernal Devices. PLEASE DON'T KILL OUR BELOVED JEM CARSTAIRS. xD

message 152: by Leanne (new) - rated it 5 stars

Leanne : Q: When did you first start getting insprations for these stories? Ps. Totally LOVE your books!! Keep on writing them!!

message 153: by Ry (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ry Gutierrez Hello Cassandra! I love your books - the infernal devices and the mortal instruments series. I was attracted to them the first time I saw them at the bookstore. I just want to ask how did you become such an excellent writer? I always wanted to be a writer. Thank you for inspiring me! By the way, could you please share what it feels like to be a writer and have people appreciate your works? :)

message 154: by Sivakami (new)

Sivakami q.You say that in your books the city is the forest its the enchanting place. Do you think this factor was disturbed in the 'City of Glass' as the shadowhunters are actually seen in their true location?

message 155: by Angie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Angie qLove love love your stories. Will we ever see Magnus on the cover of your books?

message 156: by Amanda (new) - rated it 4 stars

Amanda q. Hi Cassandra! I absolutely adore the world and mythology of the shadowhunters you've built in the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices. I was wondering, how do you go about doing research for your stories to base your own ideas/mythology on? How much is your own and how much is borrowed or inspired from something you came across in your research? And what part of your writing process do you think is the most essential to your success in writing a good story? Thanks!

message 157: by Angela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Angela I love all you story! Simon is one of my favorite character and I was wondering what the Mark of Cain look like? Where does all the ideas of your Runes come from?

message 158: by Shawna (new) - rated it 4 stars

Shawna Furlong-Jardine q Hey Cassandra! I just wanted to say that your writing is brilliant.. I'm now starting on the Clockwork Angel.. I hope that you continue to write for a long time to come.. I just wanted to know how or if J.K. Rowling has influenced your writing? I know you started as a fanfiction writer. Congratulations on having your talent shown to the world. :D

message 159: by M.B. (new) - rated it 5 stars

M.B. Hi Cassandra. I heard that you started writing fanfiction before the Mortal Instruments. I write ff myself and wondered how you found the transition from that to original work?

M.B. q 0 minutes ago Hi Cassandra. I heard that you started writing fanfiction before the Mortal Instruments. I write ff myself and wondered how you found the transition from that to original work?

lindsey I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR WRITING! And of the best, and most torturous, parts is when you leave us hanging with stuff like "You don't know everything I've done, Tessie" (Clockwork Prince, page 388) God, that one nearly stopped my heart. Oh, but I have so many questions! So many suspicions! Since I'm currently reading Clockwork Prince

lindsey Q: Cassie, first let me say that I absolutely LOVE all of your books! It's beautifully written and one of the most dramatic things I've ever written (definitely not in a bad way, though) Every thing my mind comes with that could happen in the future (say, what Will Herondale did to the Lightwood sister) comes out completely different and x10 better than I could imagine (Will read her diary and broke Gabriel

message 163: by Kayla (new) - added it

Kayla Bernard Jace is Will's descendant so.....tessa has to end up with Jem because Tessa can't have kids and will is going to have kids. So i think Jem and tessa should end up with each other. Clary ended up with Jace and Simon was left alone in the dust. I think the other guy (Jem) SHOULD WIN THE GIRL THIS TIME.

Kayla Bernard q: Jem going to win the girl this time?

message 165: by Alyssa (new) - rated it 5 stars

Alyssa Hello Ms. Clare. q I was wondering why you decided to write the prequel series and where you got this idea from?

Abigail Q: After reading CP - which I loved, of course - I found myself weirdly concerned for Present Day Tessa's happiness. I mean, obviously - most likely, I guess - whoever she ends up with (if anyone) has died, and it's not like she's been spending a ton of time with Magnus, at least as far as we see, so is she happy? Does she have people she cares about, at least?

nice to meet you cassandra. i would have to say that i like city of fallen angels the most, out of all your books. i am still to read clockwork angel and clockwork prince, but i cant wait. i would just like to ask this question though. i myself am only 14, but i am still an avid reader and lover of vocab and i write books myself. what advice do you think you could give me for getting my books out there, if i decide to, and tips to make a storyline better. and most importantly how did you get your books known? thank you for reading this, and good luck with the rest of your books. i am sure that everyone will absolutely love them. :D

message 168: by Andie (new) - rated it 4 stars

Andie Q: How do you or did you develop the character of Jace? Is he based off anyone in real life? Are any characters in the book based off real people?

message 169: by Shelby (new) - rated it 5 stars

Shelby Q: I love your books! I was just wondering if Tessa is a warlock, who will live forever, then will she have an apperance in the Immortal Instruments?(:

message 170: by Lydia (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lydia Can you give us a small, tiny peek (pretty please) into what we can expect in Clockwork Princess?

message 171: by Kaede (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kaede Hi!

message 172: by Kaede (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kaede Q: I was wonedering how you came up with this storyline. It seems somewhat like a spin-off from the Mortal Instruments but unique in it's own way. The series is getting really interesting and I just love Will :). Both series of yours are really well-written.

Coletta Fuller Hey! I love your books!! I was wondering if you base your characters off of real people. Thanks for being so amazing

message 175: by Julia (new) - rated it 5 stars

Julia Bazan Q. Hey. How is Jace a decendant of Will when Tessa can't have children and is immortal. Is she either not really a warlock or do her and Will not end up together anyway?

Brianna Q: Hi Cassandra, like many others I have some questions for you. I am a writer at heart, I love it, many authors have inspired me to write including you, so my questions to you are: Do you ever have trouble finding time to write? If so, how do you handle that? Also, do you ever experience writers block? If you do, how do you handle it? I experience these things so I am just looking for your advice and input.

shre ♡ qHi cassie! First, i can't believe im actually getting a chance to ask u a question. ahhhhh!! ok ok. second, my question for you is do you think the complicated romance keeps things interesting between tessa and will and jem, and clary and jace and simon? (cause i do) ;)

shre ♡ qSecond question: I actually really really want to know how you came up with the character Magnus. He's awsome.

shre ♡ qthird question: What are some of your favorite books, and would you reccomend them to your fans?

Q: Will we get to see more of Magnus in Clockwork Princess?

Ashleigh Kuhns q: Why do Jem and Alec, as well as Will and Jace, seem so much alike? and, can I marry Jem instead of Tessa? Is tessa really part nephilim and part demon, or is she something completely different? Can you or will you give us a small teaser for The Clockwork Princess, or at least a hint of what will be going on in it?
