Transfiguration Class

Katherine quietly came into class, five minutes late. She still couldn't believe she'd slept so late, and she found her seat with downcast eyes. Pulling her books out of her bag, she spread them in front of her, and caught up with the lesson quickly.

[Rachel]

Aaron walked into Transfiguration and looked for an empty desk. "Can I sit here?" He asked, mitioning to the desk next to the girl who had just sat down.

Iris and her sister Alice, walked in together happily chatting.

Katherine smiled at him just after she got done screwing in her eyebrow and toung ring. "Yes, you may." She said politely to Aaron, patting the seat next to her, and then looking again at her books.
The corner of a small colorful piece of paper played peek-a-boo out of her book, but she didn't notice.

Roxanne finished drawing and showed the parchment too Roy "What do you think?" She asked hopefully smoothing down the corners of the drawing of a great horned owl

Aaron sat down and noticed the paper in the girls book. "What's that?" He asked

Emma entered the room and sat by Roxanne.

She glanced down and saw what he was asking of. Blushing deeply, she fit it better into her book, but the paper was still a bit larger than the pages, so it still stuck out somewhat. "Um, that's just a poem interpertation of mine." She uttered softly, embarresed.

"Oh, ok." Aaron said, noticing she probably didn't want to talk about it.

Emma glanced up curiously, but didn't press her for details.

Roxanne smiled pleased "Thanks, Its actually my owl. His name is Byron"

Roy smiled "Cool. My family sorta shares this owl. He's a snowy owl"

"Cool, whats his name?" she asked while she took out her quill writing something very quickly in the corner of the drawing

Roxanne looked up from what she was doing "Cool, Here" she sadi offering him the drawing "You can have it if you want."

Roy's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

Roxanne smiled "Of course"

Roy blushed and looked at the paper with amazement "Thanks"

"No prob, Well i should leave. It looks like class is almost over" Roxanne said packing her things "What house are you in again?"

Roy smiled. "I'm a Ravenclaw." he said, starting to pack his things too. Then he accidentally dumped his ink all over himself "Aaugh"

Roxanne put a hand to her mouth trying not too laugh "Oh gosh, let me fix that" taking out her wand she waved it muttering a spell under her breath "There you go, perfect. Well i'll see you soon. Bye Roy." she said heading for the door.

Roy smiled and waved "Thanks..." ((should he ask her to the dance now?))

Roy suddenly got up and walked over to her "wait- do you want to go to the dance with me?" he asked with a smile

Roxanne blushes "Oh, sure that would be great! I would love "

Roy smiled widely and runs off "I'll see you then!" he yelled happily

Jasper walked in, and took a seat. He knew he was late, but he'd been in Charms class before, and got distracted.

Amy came in and sat down. She took out her notebook and began to doodle.

Alice and Iris enter together, then sit down on each side of Amy.

"Hey Amy." They say at the same time. "Haha jinx!" Iris yells back at Alice. Alice simply rolls her eyes and puts her headphones in her ears.

Katherine had watched their whole encounter, distracted, and leaning her head on her proped up arm. The dance. Once again she was reminded of the dance. Sure, she didn't want a boyfriend to distract her from her studies, but she'd have liked going to the dance... Sighing she turned back to her book, trying to concentrate.
She flipped to the drawing shoved between pages 308 and 309 and bit her lip before passing it to Aaron silently.

It showed a valley, covered in soft snow, and a baren, leaveless, tree, with a black sillohette hanging from a branch. Haunted looking, but beautiful.

Jasper toyed with his wand all the while.

Aaron looked at the drawing Katherine had passed her. "This is amazing," He said, awed.

She blinked, and grinned, putting it back into her book beofre anyone could see. "Thank you." was all she could think of to say. Turning back to her book, she let hair fall over her shoulder.

"Um, yeah. Your welcome." Aaron answered feeling really awkward.

"Does this lesson start, or...?" Katherine asked, leaning her head on her propped up arm, letting her dark slightly wavy hair flow over her shoulder.

[Rachel]

"I don't know. I haven't seen the proffessor around." Aaron said. "For that matter, I don't even know who the proffessor is."

"I don't either. Usually it's always someone different. We should run for student teachers." She joked, closing her book because, obviously, this lesson wasn't going to start. Sighing she turned on the bench seat so she could see Aaron more clearly. Her eyebrow ring were small snitches this morning, and it matched her toung ring too.
She loved Quidditch, but knew she could never play the sport. "I'm Katherine, by the way."

[Rachel]

"I'm Aaron." Aaron replied. "Do you play Quidditch?" He asked noticing her jewlery.

Katherine raised an eyebrow and let out a short laugh, thinking the boy might have just read her mind. "No, I don't. I'm too... Clumsy for that, but I do like the sport." She said, grinning. "Do you go to the Quidditch tournements?"

[Rachel]

"Yeah I try to get to them all. I've always wanted to be on the team but I never seem to have the time." Aaron answered.

Nodding, Katherine agreed. "That's the problem! Even more so since Graduation is coming up... Are you graduating this year?" She asked, peerin at him curiously.

"Next year so maybe I can get on team next year but that's not likely." Aaron repllied.

Jasper just sat still and thought about Quidditch. He doodled in a piece of parchment.

Katherine grinned over at him. "Yep! Well, if I'm going to learn anything new today, I might as well catch another class. I'm going to herbology... You want to come?" She asked, standing and grabbing her books, walking toward the door, but stopping in the frame to wave goodbye to Jasper, and wait to see if Aaron was coming along with her.

Aaron picked up his books. "To herbology it is!" He said, following her out the door.

Jasper waved back, but stayed put. He was sure the teacher was just late. He wasn't going to blow his favorite class.
