Potions Class

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

Alexi noticed Emma and Iris trying to hide their laughter near the front, while Snape was glaring at them suspicously.

iris starts crushing her potion ingredients and drops them into the cauldron as the purple smoke flows out.

Sapphire ( Fire ) stumbled into potions class
she took a seat by herself and looked up confused
" where are we?" she asks angrily to herself

Snape turned away and began pacing back up to the front of the room again. Emma made eye contact with Iris and grinned, giving her a thumbs up.

"...pick a partner and begin brewing an antidote to a common poison," Snape drawled. "I will test a random poison on each partner at the end of class. If your antidote works, you'll live until next week to hand in your four feet on the properties of a bezor. If not, that would be very unfortunate. You have thirty minutes."

Emma walked over to Iris. "Want to work together?" she asked.

Xavier heard Snape talk about choosing parteners and all the boys to his right had already paired up and began setting off to fetch their equipment. He sat there and scanned the classroom, he couldn't take his eyes from Alexi but she would probably want to go with a girl. Instead he simply sat and stared out the window, if worst came to worst he would have to just be paired with someone by Professor Snape.

'Great' Eve got up and walked over to Alexis because she needed a partner.

she sighed and sat down

James got up and made his way across the room to Sapphire. "Hello ma'am." he said, flashing a dazzling smile. "Would you like to do the assignment together?"

sapphire looks at him in surprise
then she looks back to make sure it was her he was talking to

"Alright." James walked to his table, and got his bag. Throwing it on the ground beside her desk, he pulled his over so they were sitting right beside each other. "What shall our potion cure? We could do the antidote for Basilisk venom. That wouldn't acquire much work, and I doubt any one else will think of it." A grin spread across his face, and he looked at her.

" okay." she replied

[Swaroop, Head Boy]

Swaroop quietly entered the class without making any noise.He didn't want to get caught by Snape for coming late again.He slowly slid into the last desk and smiled when he realized that Snape hadn't noticed his entry.

Emma waved slightly at Swaroop as he walked in.

sapphire looked at who just came in

James smiled and got the certain ingredients out of a drawer. "Really, the only thing we need is a Phoenix tear, but this plant here," He said holding up and small, unnaturally green leaf with jagged edges. "Helps soothe irritated skin, and this has healing properties." James pointed to a vial of white cloudy liquid.
"And this is the Phoenix tear." He brought up a really small vile with one drop of what looked like water covering the very bottom of the glass. "Would you like to do the honors?"

Xavier scanned the room once more and decided to stand up, he shout ''Anyone not got a partner?'' he raised an eyebrow, looking at everyone with hopeful eyes. In all honesty, he wasn't really bothered about finding a partner, he just didn't want to be stuck in detention with Snape again.

" suer thing." sh said taking the bottle

"Alright." James said, taking a note book out, to write their progress down.

sapphire looked down for a moment

a look of pure sadness crossed her face then left

Xavier raised an eyebrow, sighed then sat back down.

James glanced up, his pen froze in nid sentence. "Hey, is something wrong?" He asked her.

Xavier shot his head up ''Who, me?'' he looked confused ''Sorry, It's just I haven't got a partner'' he said.

sapphire looked up suddenly
" Oh!, im sorry i was just deep in thought! sorry i wont get distracted again." she said

"It's alright...." James said, confused. "Would you like to write, and I shall mix the cure?"

" sure." she said getting the notebook

[Bam]

Xavier raised an eyebrow, more confused now as to if Sapphire and James were even talking to him. He gazed out of the classroom window lazily.

sapphire looked at the notebook and got a quill
" ready." sh said

"Alright, I'm putting this and this in first, and then the tear. As we crush them together, they will mend and mix, and if we're doing this right, it should result as a yucky green gray color. Hey." He turned his attention toward the boy. "You wanna help, or something... Since you don't have a partner."

sapphire looked at xavier
" oh yes would you like to help." she said

''Whatever'' he shrugged but smiled at their offer.

James raised an eyebrow, and nodded, turning his attention back to the potion, that was now turning the color he promised. "We can put your name on the credits." He smiled.

sapphire looked at the potion
" perect " she said looking at james

"Thank you." he said, walking up to Snape's desk and sitting it on the cold surface.
He walked back to the chair, and and gathered his things, shoving them back into his bag. "So, what's your name?"

" or him?" she asked gesturing to Xavier

"You." He said, not taking his eyes off of her.

Alexi glanced at Xavier when he asked if anyone didn't have a partner, and shrugged appologetcly. Turning back to Eve, she smiled slightly. "Sure."

"Sapphire. A beautiful blue gem." He said seductively. Giving her a wide grin, and a wink, he hitched his bag over his shoulder, and exited the room.

Xavier rolled his eyes, hearing was James was saying. He nodded his head to Alexi and just wanted to hang out after class but didn't want to seem wierd by asking. Instead he just sat in silence and rolled in pencil on the desk.

After their potion was finished and the bell rang, Alexis carried thei cauldron over to Snapes desk, the contents bubbling happily.

Xavier stood up from his seat and hoped Snape didn't catch him not making anything for the entire duration of the lesson. Instead he walked towards the door but bumped into Alexis' back by accident ''Sorry!'' he exclaimed.

" i never even knew who he was." she mumbled standing up

Dawn looked around and Starr sighed

sapphire started walking out of the room into the great hallway
she sighed

Somone bumped into Alexis, throwing her forward. Catching her balance, she turned and saw the guy from class busy apologising. Smiling, she shook her haid and laughed/ "No, its fine. Really!"
