Hey, Jenn, I know WHY you got that nickname. What I don't know is, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Is it some kind of cattle from down Texas way? Perhaps a long-haired cat or dog? Maybe a shaggy pony?

Upon explaining this, I JUST realized its kind of an insult.
Texas is know for its Long Horn cattle.
So in essence, Splitter just called me a cow.
Nice.
It's also a college football team so I'm guessing that's where he is going to try to save face.
Still, it refers to cattle.
I'm going to email him now.

Thank you Phil!

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments I may to make one character in my next book an Australian just for Phil. Of course, there will have to be a knife reference like Crocadile Dundee though I hear they kinda resent him lol.

No, Splitter, we don't resent him. Actually he represents a lot about the Aussie character, such as disrespect for authority (Yes, JA, I know, probably a relic from our convict days), a keen sense of the ridiculous and an ability to see the funny side of most situations.

Unfortunately, our governments tend to take themselves too seriously (politicians are the same world-over) But we try not to imitate them.

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments Thank you all! I guess it is safe to say that The Willing (Crayder Chronicles #2) has gone international because it is available in the UK and Germany now lol. I don't think I have ever sold a book in the Amazon UK store, but we can hope, huh?

The Reluctant is now FREE and available HERE on GoodReads.

The Willing should be available just any time at B&N Kobo, iBooks, and the other non-Amazon sites soon.

Even if you haven't gotten the books yet, please add them to your TBR list on GoodReads.

Fainting goats? Stop staring at them, Jenn.

message 32: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments They don't really faint, ya know. When they get frightened or excited, they go stiff and fall over.

Same thing happens to me at a good seafood buffet. I even got a little woozy when I saw the turkey today. A good cruller can put me down for an hour.

Yes, splitter, I know they don't really faint. :) It's a genetic condition that they tend to grow out of as they become adults.
They still kinda stiffen up but they don't fall over.

As for you, I'm guessing you have a tendency to still fall over....lol

Haven't you seen or heard of the movie, "Men Who Stare at Goats", about some mad general who had the bright idea of training his special forces to kill just by staring at people. He reckoned he could make it work on goats, so why not everyone?

Bit touchy, Jenn? Sorry, nothing personal -- just your mention of falling goats reminded me of a bad movie. Honest!
