ABANDONED. A children's book about a man with pots and pans in a cart, this tips, they roll down hill and animals live in them

This was my Dads favourite book and i am trying to find out the title / author for him!

Any help would be appriciated - he is 54 now

He thinks the pots and pans were in a car then hit a pot hole or went over a bridge and they fell out - maybe a hen or chicken living in saucepan? He thought it was called something like a 'house for hen' 'chicken in a pot'
