Abarat:Days of Magic, Nights of War by Clive Barker

message 22: by Mel (last edited Nov 23, 2008 07:06PM) (new)

Mel I gave up on Peony in Love by Lisa See. I was about 100 pages in and couldn't take it anymore. Quite disappointing after Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.

I finished Billie Lett's Made in the USA which was excellent. I don't know how she builds a plot around such quirky characters and makes it work.

Now, I'm reading The Granny by Brendand O'Carroll. It's the last book in the Agnes Browne series and I think I'll be very disappointed to let this family go.
