My grandparents' lawn was filled with daddy longlegs, so those were the only ones I was concerned about. Sometimes there were black snakes in the trees, too, but I never saw one fall.

Carol, he's going to breed in there and grow, probably to the size of a puppy.

we are the ones that make a squishy sound
so watch where you walk

Hummingbirds are back and emptying the feeder every couple of days, but I've yet to see one.

Thanks. I like these too:
A bazaar of guillemots
A congregation of plovers
A trip of dotterel
An unkindness of ravens (!)
A wedge of swans
A wisp of snipe

Oh, we talk about spiders in a lot of threads, don't we. I was going to post in the "weird things"thread, but this will do.
There was a miniature tarantula mere inches from my baby this morning!! It had a white design like a skull and crossbones on its abdomen so I knew it was bad news. When it saw me coming with the glass and the paper it tried to get real still like it was hiding from me. But I managed to wedge my iTunes gift card under it and flick it out the sliding glass door. Fucker.

You are a sweet heart Sally. I am glad you didn't squish it.
