*Sings in broad Rochdale accent* It's the biggest aspidistra in the world! (Gracie Fields, 1938)

I believe the common name for an aspidistra was 'Mother in Law's Tongue'.

Really? I thought it was a Parlour Palm. Never had one, mind you. I think they went out of fashion with antimacassars.

Jud and Katie have you tried the Hazelnut variety of Bailey's. Bliss according to Phil.

Hazelnut Bailey's sounds rather delicious. I must leave some hints around for Christmas!

Patti if you grant me a real wish I will buy you a bottle of Bailey's.

I assumed it was, but now I've looked I can't find it! The anthology that she edited Summer Shortsdefinitely is and features (coughs modestly) one of my stories.

It is actually quite nice as a drink. By the way, do you know why you don't have to keep it in the fridge?

Ah,you noticed the rhetorical nature of my question
A scientist from the company told me that it was so full of salt, it couldn't "go off if it tried".

Ok, I stand corrected. Quite educational this place, isn't it? I think I'll go and stand behind the aspidistra for a bit and hope no-one notices me ;-)

Now we're talking!

Ignite misspelling? Tell me it isn't so. My brain couldn't take it.

That seems to happen to me a lot but when you get to my old age you expect to get ignored

I just put a recipe in the recipe thread for a cheap way to make Bailey's type drink. If you try it out you could make loads and keep tweaking it to your taste....Good excuse.

Oh no you don't (to use a Christmas theme)!

Don't sympathise, Lorraine, you'll never get rid of me if you do ;-)
