Sideloading Apps without Rooting

Should be said that this seems to only work with the new Nook Tablet. :( Their instructions don't work on the Nook Color.

My tablet is Nook Tablet version 1.4.0 ,and i try to root it with
(tbp421.APK)
(usbdrivers.zip)
(Nook&Zergy.zip),this 3 files......
When i root it i saw these error message like this "zergy"is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file...."adb"is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file .I don`t know how to do next step......Please help me...
