Hmmmm, I dunno... you're NOLAN, for crying out loud! I mean, it's expected.

Meg | 180 comments Mod
I don't know, expected to be completely out of the blue, and thickheaded...

And you consider THAT a compliment?? Do you all see what I have to deal with here?!?

message 255: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
OI! That was a compliment-- that you give nice hugs. I thought you were saying that you thought that was a compliment when I said you were thickheaded... yeah.

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Technically, I believe it's European of some sort... Scottish, maybe... Ohmigod, I'm starting to sound like YOU!!

message 257: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Yeah, I don't know if anyone could be able to stay SANE with two Nolans... :P

message 258: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Cold? Me, too. D: Had a fever as of 6:00 last night. No wonder I was so freaking cold constantly in Mrs Weber's room yesterday(even though it was probably the warmest room I'd been in all day, including in my house)!!!

Speaking of which, what was with the heart thing I caught you with today. My heart...?

message 259: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Oh, okay. Than why'd you want my heart back? You could have asked for just about anyone's heart.

message 260: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Is it true?? No. You can't LIKE me, can you, Nolan...?

message 261: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Of course you are allowed. It's just my luck that you wouldn't, though, right?? And you're the one who continues to remain vague...

message 262: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Of course. My luck, right? Well, is there any possible way that the vagueness that you are delivering to yours truly can be, I dunno, less VAGUE?

message 263: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I feel so bad!!! D: You completely ignored me today, and I feel so bad that I put you in this position, on a web site!!I'm deleting it all right now, okay??

message 264: by Josiah (new)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) If we're still searching for a candidate to be Book of the Month for March, then may I suggest The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater? I'm heard some very positive things about it.

message 265: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Everything. You wouldn't understand.

That's supposed to be good. Five Flavors of Dumb or The Emerald Atlas could be good too.

message 267: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I guess...

message 268: by Adriana (new)

Adriana No Australia.

Incarceron and Lockdown are also supposed to be good.

Wow. Both of those books appear to be extremely intense, particularly the latter, and definitely worth reading. I'd be on board with choosing either of them as our book for March.

Lockdown would also be a good choice.

message 279: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Awesome Josiah.

The Emerald Atlas would be a good choice for our March book. I had planned to read it at some point in 2012 anyway, since it was considered a significant contender for this year's Newbery awards.

message 281: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Maybe Starburst will do a poll once she sees this.

message 282: by Josiah (new)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) Did you catch the fact that the Lockdown I suggested was actually a different book than the one that you first mentioned? The one that you put forth as a possibility for our group's book next month was the one that I referred to as looking "extremely intense", though, and I'd be interested in reading it.

message 283: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Oh no I didn't notice. It sounds kind of the same. Why read it if you already have?

message 284: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía Adriana wrote: "Maybe Starburst will do a poll once she sees this."

okay, i'm on it!

I had already read Anything But Typical, too. I wouldn't need to read the book again, but I'd be well prepared to discuss it with others since I've had so much time to mentally unpack the story's philosophical content.

For me if I read it again to close to the time I read it before it's not as satisfying and honestly kind of boring.

message 288: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Pelicanz wrote: "Everyone's for ONE Lockdown or another."

No. Scorpio Races too. I think we are missing Meg, Tiffany, and some others so we'll see.

message 289: by Adriana (new)

Adriana what do you mean? And which one?

message 290: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Yeah it's definitely geared towards boys.

message 291: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Hahaha (:
We most likely will or it'll be a tie. Anyways I'm still going to read it. I actually have it out from the library and read the first couple of pages and liked it.

message 292: by Adriana (new)

Adriana XD I'm sure it's in your library. I think it's a series or trilogy so therefore it's kind of old and libraries tend to get books later.

It's the same way for me. Rather than reading the book again, I'd just go from memory in the club's discussions.

Ana Sofía Pelicanz wrote: "ohhhhhhh it's a series? In other news, The Roar has a sequel."

yeah, it's called The Whisper. And it came out February 1st. I ordered it from Amazon, but it hasn't come yet.

message 295: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
I know. Can I PLEASE borrow it once you're done reading it?? :P

message 296: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía it's not in yet... i checked. and yes, of course, meg! :D

message 297: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía i can lend it to you when meg's done, if you want.

message 298: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía it'd be fine, we just have to wait till it gets here first before anyone can read it...
WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO SHIP?

message 299: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía bleugh. whatev.

message 300: by Ana Sofía (new)
