You know it. I only have, like, 75 pages left, you know... :P

message 152: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
That's not very nice. And there are not 2345362346 pages in The Roar... :P

message 153: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Are they fresh pineapples or canned?

message 154: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany They're nice that way, but I think they're better grilled...

message 155: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía oh i was just watching paula dean make pineapple upside down cake on Food Network.

message 156: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany The ones that can juggle are even cooler.

message 157: by Adriana (new)

Adriana No. The backflipping ones are better to me.

message 158: by Adriana (new)

Adriana True true

message 159: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía okay, I made a discussion called Random Stuff so that you guys can put all your randomness there and we can discuss books here. So comment over there. :P

I think at this point, there will be randomness everywhere, and I have a feeling there will be more randomness, in fact, NOT in the Random Stuff... just sayin'. When you are upfront with things, the conversation will always bed better, my dad always says...:P

Ana Sofía well... i fought valiantly...

Adriana Have you guys read Eggs by Jerry Spinelli? Just did and loved it!

Eggs is one of my favorite of his books. It actually came out in the same year as Love, Stargirl, so that really was a banner year for Jerry Spinelli fans. I'm very happy about the imminent publication of his new book, Jake and Lily. It will be his first new novel since the very memorable Smiles to Go was released in 2008.

message 164: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Read Stargirl in Spanish class. Might be the reason I didn't like it but I'm not so sure about that.

message 165: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía i haven't read any of those, but i've heard of stargirl.

message 166: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Eggs is fantastic so is Maniac Magee and Wringer

I completely agree! I gave five stars to both Maniac Magee and Wringer. I would have definitely awarded them the Newbery Medals for 1991 and 1998, respectively. Have you ever read Who Put That Hair in My Toothbrush?? That's a favorite of mine, as well.

message 168: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Nope only those three

I was really clueless with Eggs, but I really enjoyed all of Jerry Spinelli's other books, especially Milkweed. That's probably one of my favorites... :P

message 170: by Josiah (new)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) It seems to me that Jerry Spinelli never misses with his books. The Library Card, Fourth Grade Rats, Milkweed, Tooter Pepperday and Loser are all good, Knots in My Yo-Yo String is excellent, and Crash is simply one of the best books I have ever read, a no-brainer to score five stars. Jerry Spinelli is money in the bank.

message 171: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I'm really apprehensive of reading Milkweed. I've read books in that time but it's rare because it's so sad. I don't want to read about it all the time.

I know. One of the best of last years' B.O.B. books!! :D

message 173: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía I didn't like it that much.

Meg | 180 comments Mod
@ Nolan: Like what???

message 181: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Apparently, I left my The Roar book in Mrs. Maul's room Friday-- my 2nd copy!-- and I had to go to Barnes & Noble and finish the last 20 stinking pages!!!! I just need to glue everything on the poster...

message 182: by Adriana (new)

Adriana WOW. lol. (:

message 183: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Yep. My mom was so ticked off when she heard I lost it. She had a fit (I lost my binder at the bus loop on Monday!!), and as serious as she tried to be, I couldn't stop laughing!!

message 184: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Do you lose things this often?

message 185: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
@ Adriana: Not ever. This week, I was just really rushed, and Nolan was talking to me in class, and I must have forgotten The Roar because of it.

@ Pelicanz: Thanks. I'm blaming it on you.

message 186: by Adriana (new)

Adriana (: nice.

message 187: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Yup.

@ Pelicanz: >:(

Yeah... that pep rally was the stupidest thing... we had , like, 25 minutes afterwards to do nothing. You still suck for distracting me. :P

message 189: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Same with my school. Once everyone just left 15 minutes early. It was HILARIOUS! And sad.

message 190: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
It's your fault because you were the one talking to me, making me forget my book on the floor or whatever. If you hadn't talked to me, there would be no forgetting of The Roar for me. >:(

message 191: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
@ Adriana: That would be funny!! :D

message 192: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
And how is that? What do I remember incorrectly????

message 193: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Yeah... It didn't fit in my bookbag, okay?! Jeez!

message 194: by Meg (new)

Meg | 180 comments Mod
Totally. Albatrosses contemplating about life lessons in scholarly novels.

message 195: by Ana Sofía (new)

Ana Sofía monkeys in fighter pods.

message 196: by Adriana (new)

Adriana yeah!

message 197: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany And its cousin Peanut butter and Jelly

message 198: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Unfortunately not. That would be creepy. But they get together a lot and go dancing.

message 199: by Adriana (new)

Adriana I don't think it's PROBABLY I think it's DEFINITELY. I thought it was cucumbers?

message 200: by Adriana (new)
