Monica (nutz4reading) | 55 comments I have to say that one of my favorite apps is Fruit Ninja. I also like the Angry Birds. I am sure there are more that I will like/love.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) Angry Birds should have a wanring sign about habit forming behaviors. (It's addictive.)

And it's a gateway drug for Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio and Stupid Zombies (which is not from Rovio, but is also a physics game. Instead of shooting birds at pigs, you fire a shotgun at zombies but have to angle your shots off of obstacles. Very therapeutic.)

Today's (12-27-11) app of the day is Fruit Ninja Puss in Boots edition. Just as much fun as the original. I played Fruit Ninja on a 36" screen at Dave & Busters. Highly recommended.

LOVE Puss in Boots, so of course I HAD to download this app! I love Fruit Ninja, and the added Puss in Boots stuff is awesome! I was on a roll last night! lol

Gateway for Angry Birds but Stupid Zombies is more of a cross-addiction I think.

Kiera (thewordeater) | 5 comments I'm a news junkie, so I've been enjoying Pulse, Freedly, and USA Today apps. I'm also loving Pandora and Wordfued.

Yeah, that was a great surprise! I wonder if there'll be more cross-over games like that in the future.

Monica (nutz4reading) | 55 comments I downloaded the Puss in Boots one too.

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 40 comments I love the every frustrating and addictive Puss in Boots Fruit Ninja. I play with the claw blade. My high score is only about 2660 and I haven't made it to the finale yet.

Diamond (kindle lover) (quirkysecrets) | 10 comments Shark attack 3

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) I like Television News. It isn't free but it only costs $1.49. It gives me the news broadcasts for the nightly news from all major networks, pluss some. And it works great on the fire.

That's cool. I hadn't heard of that one!

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) and I've also gotten a lot of fun out of Pandora. I created a station (more like a play list) by putting Selena Gomez in, and now my daughter wants to listen and dance (she likes dancing) to my fire when ever it's around. (She's 6).

message 65: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (melissa_wy) I downloaded the goodreads app...but honestly, I think it's way better to just go to it from your web browser!

Agreed! I honestly hate the app.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) I'm with you. You'd think that Goodreads would get organized to develop a more fonctional app that works better than the website. I've had two, one for a buck and one free and neither of them really do much other than allow you to use a barcode scanner to scan books into your bookshelves. Other than that. It's hard to find posts or get to them.

But, there is the computer.

message 68: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn Lucas (pursuedbyabear) The web browser on the kf makes the app useless to me. It's super easy and accessible and I can do anything on it I could on my laptop. It just gets annoying have to zoom in again and again after a while but I can live with it lol.

It's the same reason why they don't really have blogs on the Fire that you can subscribe to like on other Kindles. Kind of pointless to pay for something if you can just get it for free a different way.

Stacey Jo (st1ac2ey3) ezPDF Reader - Couldn't live without it. It's how I read, and listen to, all my eBooks.
Rhapsody & iHeart Radio
Neflix
Words with Friends
Soduku
mahjong
Slice It
Where's My Water? (totally addicting game)
Kids Doodle & Kids Ultimate Finger Painting (keeps the kids occupied)
Facebook

Those are my most used apps. But I mostly use my Fire to listen to eBooks more than anything

Vernessa Fernandes (wetmokakisses) | 4 comments my two most favorites are......Pulse, I'm a news junky and Free Stuff Times app.....not only do you get free samples on things, but every day they give you a list of free books from Amazon.

They list from 70-140 books every day

Someone asked earlier for a good recipe book and they usually have plenty.

Stacey Jo (st1ac2ey3) Scott wrote: "Try to search your own books on the GoodReads app. Totally impossible. This app has so little functionality the only thing worse is the GoodReads mobile site itself. ..."

I don't care for the mobile site either. Both under the GR app and the website i have saved i go under My Books and I plug the name of one of the round 4,000 books on my shelves in and I'm always able to pull up that book title as well as any other book with that name in the title. I live on GR. I've never bothered to become a librarian on there but if you have any questions I'm sure I can answer them. I love the app cause I can access all my shelves, move books around, organize, etc.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

My favorite app would be Office Jerk and Office Zombie. So fun!

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Just got a new app called Mixture. You have to try to mix regular house ingredients into such a gross drink, that Dave (the guy that drinks it) throws up!
