Hi Steve. Apologies for the misnaming - sometimes my typing fingers just do their own thing ;-)
Steve also wrote: "... No, they do it for free and just ask in return that you tell people about them. I'll be tweeting about them Thursday - p..."
Thanks for the info on cheapdailyreads - really helpful. I don't know if it's already in hand but I'll check it out ;-)

and: "They've removed Alan Hutcheson's posts too - Boomerang man. Gnashing of teeth!"
Hi Ignite
Yes, you do have to be careful over the pond.
Back in the Spring (before 'Meet Our Authors' was set up on the .com site) I had several posts removed. No reason given.
It was then incredibly hard to get any explanation out of the US 'support' team - especially, it seemed, if you had a .co.uk address.
Eventually, after several weeks of emailing and phoning UK and US teams, I got a non-automated response and was told that the problem was that I had infringed a rule. If I recall correctly, I think the problem was that I had put an Amazon product link (to the book) after my name, rather than in the body of the text. I emailed back to ask where that rule was set down as I hadn't found it in my reading of the T&Cs or in the posting guidelines.
My question remained unanswered but my posting rights were restored. Weird!
Having said all that, I have kept up with a couple of threads on the .com MOA forum and I've found the majority of the people there to be absolutely delightful; welcoming, friendly and supportive.

Thanks for that Mel ;-)

I hope they are able to sort it out with Amazon.

That is a real shame about Alan and Cornelius' past comments being lost.
I am also annoyed about the two authors who are stirring things up "over there" - but if other forum members didn't post on those threads they would gradually disappear. They ignore other promo threads - which have been correctly posted according to "their" rules, so they quietly slip into oblivion while the annoying ones are kept alive. I stopped looking at the irritating threads some time ago.

Now back to discussing how wonderful my story is again ;)

Don't worry - your story IS wonderful ;-)
Just been back to the zoo. No reviews yet, but [Re]Awakenings is doing OK. Tee hee!

Glad to hear you're feeling better today GL ;-)

Lol - I see what you did there! Made me smile.
Hope the day is shaping up nicely for both of you ;-)
BTW Philip(Sarah) I've been wondering about your dual name and decided that maybe:
1 - You're two people using the same account (Unlikely)
2 - One name is a writer's pseudonym (Mmm yes: possible. Now I want to read your books)
or 3 (my personal favourite) - You've got a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde thing going on? ( MUCH more fun ;-)

Shiny! Who says Christmas comes but once a year?

Which one did you get?

When Phil bought me my Kindle for our Wedding anniversary in June he also agreed to pay for books for the first year,.It really amuses me that my machine shows as Phil's Kindle as he has never read a fictional book in his life,it amuses me further that in less than 6 months I have 200+ books on his account.Bless him!

Hi Sarah
What a wonderfully romantic, trusting (and increasingly impecunious) chap your Hubbie must be ;-)

I think you'll find that, by not actually taking this opportunity to deny that you ARE going to write an epic fantasy series, you've made a de facto, witnessed agreement to do just that ;-)
Can't wait!

Actually, I think that you'll find that we can make that translation exactly.

(Sorry GL, but I do like your writing ;-)

Hi GL
I suppose that could be possible; the technology here is behaving somewhat erratically this afternoon.
For instance, I just now given a shortened display of this thread title, to the effect that you were dipping a toe in the shark poo.
(An altogether different image ;-)

At least you have words. I have neither.
Oh - this forum often makes me laugh!! Gingerlily dipping her toe in shark poo..... ewwwwwwwwwwww!!
:0)
:0)

I have one or two minor issues with that sentence, but I think I might be flogging a dead horse there...

That can wait till you're feeling better...;-)
Only kidding. Deceased equine not withstanding, we all hope you will write some more but we'll be patient. These things can't be rushed ;-)
Take it easy and get well soon Gingerlily.

I'm not sure he actually needs any encouragement ;-)
