Is there a new movie coming out? Do you think it will be as good/bad as the first one?

Time for a rant. What I hated about The Lightning Thief (the movie):
1.) The actors were in their twenties... playing pre-teens. That just doesn't work.
2.) Did they even TRY to follow the book?
3.) Normally I wouldn't complain about a brunette heroine, but Annabeth is SUPPOSED to be blonde. Maybe it's not that important to the story... but it kinda is.
4.) Seriously. Just follow the book.
5.)They left out a bunch of great/important/funny moments
6.) It was also just too serious in general. If you've read the books then you know, they're really funny (in a sort of teenager-ish sarcastic way). I didn't get that from the movie. :(
7.) Follow. The. Book. (If you're making a popular book into a movie, wouldn't you want to keep to the book? I mean, it's not popular for it's general plot and cover illustration!
That is all.

I agree. Just start over clean slate, and follow the book this time! Oh, and with actors that aren't in their twenties would be nice. I'm not even exaggerating, one of the actors was 21 or something(I think it was Grover, can't remember)

And about the aannabeth/percy romance...THEY'RE ELEVEN for pity's sake or at least were SUPPOSED to be.....
Jeeze....i really hope this ones worth watching...-_-

I read somewhere that the new movie is being filmed at an abandoned Six Flags and not on an island. What? Did they hire a team of dyslexic monkeys to adapt the script?

I did like the first movie but some bad things:
-Put scenes from the second book in the first movie
-Put in extra scenes like, adding the pearls how they did instead of percy getting them from his dad
-Forgot scenes

HAVE U READ THE BOOK?!?!?!

and the first movie seriously sucked
i mean seriously annabeth's hair is BROWN!

Grover is at camp!!!
Since when does Clarisse look like a supermodel?
Percy is still, like, sixteen, so didn't the prophecy already happen?
Where the heck do they mention Thalia in here? NOWHERE!
Percy never sees Luke in the woods in the book, so what's up in the trailer?
These are obviously just my thoughts, I still think it will be better than the last one though.

Grover is at camp!!!
Since when does Clarisse look like a supermodel?
Percy is still, like, ..."
1. I think they'll show him getting kidnapped
2. Since Hollywood decided that every person on earth was good-looking
3. I agree...
4. I think their excluding her.
5. Adaptions
What I wonder is, isn't Tyson supposed to have trouble speaking. Yet he acts like a normal teen...

Grover is at camp!!!

Percy is ..."
Yeah, Tyson acts like a gigantic four year old, not like a normal kid, well...besides having one eye anyway...

1.) I agree...compare 20 to 12, does it work? No...Not so much
2.) Your guess is as good as mine, dude
3.) I think it's important! The stereotype is that blonde people are ditzy and stupid, so, if Annabeth is blonde and the rest of her siblings are as well, it shows that stereotypes mean nothing. But NOOO, Hollywood, you just HAD to mess it up for us fangirls, DIDN'T YOU!!!
4.) They don't listen, even RICK tried!!!
5.)Like Grover eating their hacky sack, LOL!
6.) Neither did I. It doesn't do Percy's amazing hilariousness justice! :(
7.) THEY DON'T LISTEN TO US, ONLY THE EVIL LITTLE VOICES IN THEIR HEADS SAYING, "Disappoint the readers, DISAPPOINT THEM!!!"

I honestly wouldn't exactly care about the blonde thing if they just would have left the PLOT alone. Okay...I still probably would but...You catch my drift

So maybe the second movie will fix some things and make it a more accurate. I actually have some faith in this one.
The only thing that bothers me is that they changed the prophecy from 16 years to 20 years, but I guess that was necessary to make it possible. I really don't know if I rather have this prophecy or no prophecy.

I don't think it will be much like the book (as the first movie was) therefore making it sort of bad(like the fist movie), especially from the view of someone who has read the book. It might be just survivable if you haven't... but I am not expecting anything special from what the last one was like. But I will probably end up watching it just to see how insufferable it is :P
