YaYa I was not happy with the ending of this book or maybe it was the beginning. I would have liked to have more insight on her old life or something... I also wish she got back all her memory and it didn't just leave you hanging! Anyone else feel the same way??

Robin I really think this book was kind of lame. They gave a bunch of clues at the beginning, but nothing came of them.

Jennifer I loved this book! I have read it twice now! At the end I did wish she got all her memory back but I was happy with what happened. It was a little left open so maybe over time she would get even more memories of John back.

Christina I feel the same, I hate how at the beginning of the book it started out how she was going to get all her memory back, but in the end she doesn't even hook up with Jon or anything!! And what about was it Carolyn's or Debs baby?

ewa yep, me too, but actually I was hoping that she will get along with her husband Eric!! (not a fan of cheating, no matter how unhappy someone is).

Ronie Washington-mercado Ewa I agree with you I was hoping the same thing.

Ronie Washington-mercado I heard this one is being made into a movie. Will be interesting what they do with it I think the movie about the shopaholic destroyed the charm of the book.

Christina i think people will think it's a rip off of the vow. thats the first thing i thought when i read about the vow...

Nattaporn Just the classic happy ending. Nothing new much, it isn't one of my favorite.
I expected better than this.

I couldn't agree more. One of the many reasons I did not enjoy this book AT ALL :(

Cathy Christina wrote: "i think people will think it's a rip off of the vow. thats the first thing i thought when i read about the vow..." The Vow movie? The Vow was based on a real life story and came out AFTER this book..This book was more a dirty, not fun ripoff of 13 going on 30

Jee-yuhn not so much happy with the ending..

Leona I couldn't finish it. I didn't care for the whole cheating aspect. I felt it was all just kind of cold.

Nadya was hoping for the memory to come back.

Simon Wheeler I don't agree with cheating, whatsoever. But aside from that, I think the most important point Kinsella was trying to make was that you should be true to yourself - all the glamour, cosmetic surgery, etc, is false. Don't try to be somebody you're not. And be happy with who you are and what you look like.

totally agree :)

Jozef Nakielski I don't see how you can say she cheated as she resisted until after she'd split from Eric and knew she wasn't going back. She resisted until she started getting her memory back.
Getting her memory back fully wouldn't change the fact that she'd made a mistake as she already knew that in her new life she considered it a mistake that couldn't be worked out, and now in here old life she could also see it was a mistake that couldn't be worked out.
Whilst I don't agree with cheating there does come a point that you have to accept that you aren't happy and need to do something about it. The right thing to do is be honest, tell your partner, split, THEN get with someone.
Ah you say, but she did get with jon whilst being with eric in the life she forgot... BUT this book is all about her correcting the mistakes shes made in her new life, mistakes she knew she'd made and was making but couldn't work out how to correct or stop them, thus she isn't unfaithful to Eric again until she's split from eric.
Its also obvious that she's tried to sort things out with her old friends recently but failed miserably, as she does initially with the gifts and muffins.
Its hard work undoing mistakes in life, its not easy to go back. A memory loss is the perfect opportunity to do so though.

Alicia Poole I really enjoyed this book because I like the idea of a girl with perfect life losing her memory and finding out her life isn't so perfect

Sophie I thought what most people are saying too. The ending was too clichés. It would have been good to know a little more about Eric and her previous life with him or at least clues. I wasn't convinced john was as perfect as she/the book made out. But I did enjoy the book.

And yes the book is about being happy is not about material things and money/looking good but I already knew that so I wasn't so interested in that 'message's that is kind of obvious to me but maybe not to all readers or a reminder for them?
Saying this I did enjoy the book because of the concept (even though its been done before) and thought it was interesting all the fancy things Eric had in his home! And it was interesting seeing her relationships with her friends and colleagues and figuring out why they acted the way they did towards her.

Sönïa Dhillion I know this is fictional but we need to remember amnesia is not a joke and a good author is she/he who researches their subjects property even if its mental health illness, cancer etc . That is exactly what the author has achieved here . In real life some people never get their memory back. If you have not then you guys should watch the vow starring Rachael McAdams. Its a romance movie but that also deals with amnesia and although its fictional it was inspired by a women who did forget her husband but still moved on with him and had family but till this date has not got her memory back.
