^ So I started off reading all this . . .
> But, really, guys? That many pages? D:

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Hopefully
> I haven't read much, either.

Kari | 4641 comments ^ hello!

\/ started school already?

message 6070: by Oliver (new)

Oliver (oliverthereader) | 117 comments ^ No, not yet.
> I start 10th grade on September 3rd. Part of me is looking forward to it, part of me is not. School means homework and less time to read and be on GR :)
V How are you doing?

message 6071: by [deleted user] (new)

^I'm good. Hi Aria! Hi Kari!
>*sees the approaching school year and retreats back in fear*

v I always feel so out of place going back to school shopping. I see tons of Public Schoolers with lists from teachers. I just look for whatever my mom says I need. Homeschool Life. =P

message 6072: by Kari (new)

Kari | 4641 comments ^ haha :) same with me too!
> sorta started school, but not in full swing yet. *grumble* *grumble* why did the summer end so quickly?!?!?!?!

V Wants to homeschool?

message 6076: by [deleted user] (new)

^ No.
> I like school because of the people I meet
v And all of my friends...

message 6077: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 27, 2013 05:32AM) (new)

^All my friends (okay...not all but most) are homeschooled. I see some of them 3-4 times a week! (Church, youth group, co-op)
>So if you've heard that Homeschoolers have no social life...nope. Lies! All of it!
V If you're homeschooled, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJHt-m...

I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it. =)

message 6078: by Leyah (last edited Aug 27, 2013 05:45AM) (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Homeschoolers, public schoolers... eh. I used to be all for public school, but then I met you guys and... well... my opinion changed. Still wouldn't like to be homeschooled myself, though

Imagine a school for Goodreaders....
> We'd be in the same class....
v :D :D :D I love my imagination

message 6079: by [deleted user] (new)

^I love you're imagination too!!! =D
>Who'd be the teacher???
V Our eyes would be glued to our screens for hours on end, and the classroom would turn to a chatroom, and we wouldn't accomplish anything...so, basically not different at all. =P

message 6080: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ No, but at least the noise will be GONE.
> *shudders* You DON'T want to be in my homegroup. It's mentally damaging to be in there.
v Hmm... teacher. Maybe Irene? She hasn't mentioned her age, but she's gotta be around/above the 18 mark. Or maybe Athena...

message 6081: by [deleted user] (new)

^Yeah...we can dream.
>I still have a week off before school starts...I think...
vBut, even though I dread it I look forward to seeing my RL friends more often.

message 6082: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Ah, yes
> The dreaded school starts up :/
v I'm already halfway through my term.

message 6083: by [deleted user] (new)

^Is it winter there, or what?
>*hangs head* I'm in my own little bubble and I sometimes forget that in other areas around the world the time is different and the seasons are different.
v How is it that an hour has passed since I commented? HAS TIME SPED UP OR SOMETHING??? I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A COUPLE MINUTES AGO!!!

message 6084: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Time does fly...
> Where Leyah and I are, yes, it is winter, though today was unseasonably warm. Maybe the weather will throw us a curveball and give us some crazy concoction of seasons in one day.
v Four Seasons in One Day... *grins*

message 6085: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Melbourne is famous for that, yes.
> It was too hot today :( It was even warmer yesterday.
v Though we had a storm a few minutes ago, and that was awesome :)

message 6086: by [deleted user] (new)

^Cool. We've had a mild summer. Hopefully that will mean snow this winter.
>Last winter was pathetic. Not nearly enough snow, just flurries that didn't amount to anything whatsoever.
v Hot or cold weather?

message 6087: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Warmish.
> WE HAD NO SNOW THIS WINTER
V THERE IS NO HOPE FOR MELBOURNE

message 6088: by [deleted user] (new)

^ No snow?! Well, we didn't have any good stuff last year. Not like the time it was two feet of snow.
> That was amazing.
v A winter without snow is dreadful.

message 6089: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ I've never seen snow
> I was hoping it would snow this year (since it was so cold) but no, no, no. :(
v Sad story of every Australian.

message 6090: by [deleted user] (new)

^ *sniff*
> Oh. Wow. Never? *sniff*
v COME TO AMERICA OR GO SOMEWHERE WHERE IT SNOWS, GIRL!

message 6091: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ MEWANTS TO. And yep, never.
> SERIOUSLY, I DO. BUT. IT. IS. TOO. EXPENSIVE!!
v My cousin's going to the US in a few weeks. They offered to take me but Mum said no :'(

message 6092: by [deleted user] (new)

^ IKR!!! I've never flown before 'cause of the ridiculous (resists temptation to put "riddikulus") prices.
>I've gone on a 3-day car ride, but never a plane.
v Oh well.

message 6093: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ *sigh*
> I've been on planes heaps but never out of the South. Mostly to Tasmania because we have family there and once to New Zealand... because we have family there.
v But nowhere drastic :/ I need to go to Scotland...

message 6094: by [deleted user] (new)

^ I would love it if I could go to England or Scotland.
>Or anywhere outside the country, for that matter.
V If you could visit anywhere in the world, all expenses paid for by a friend, where would you go?

message 6095: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Scotland.
> Hands down.
v It's the place I've always wanted to go to. Even as a gangly young child, I used to dream about the Scottish mountains and valleys :)

message 6096: by [deleted user] (new)

^That. Would. Be. Amazing. Scotland is beautiful. TAKE ME WITH YOU!!! =P
>And, Scottish accents...love them!
V It's hard to decide where I'd go.

message 6097: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Well, then, come with me to Scotland
> *sigh* Mum won't take me
v *dreamy sigh* Scotland...

message 6098: by [deleted user] (new)

^Here's an idea, save up you're money, do some odd jobs, and then tell you're mom you'll pay for you're plane ticket!
>How can she say no to that?
V All you need now is a job...

message 6099: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Busking. That's my job. Playing violin for a living.
> I have told Mum that I will skip any future school camps so I can go to Scotland
> She's thinking about it

message 6100: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Awesome job! I don't play, sadly.
>I do quite fine with babysitting.
V Eventually I'll publish *glances at book she wrote at age ten sitting in the corner collecting dust* this book and get income there.
