v Seriously. I bet you're brilliant.

message 5914: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Oh my goodness. Really? Erm. Well. I will try to get some of my pieces up here...
> Although I'll be writing and composing under Corinne W. ________ (don't want to reveal my last name on here)
v That's... wow. That is one of the nicest things that people have said to me about my music, and you haven't even heard one!

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ He's awesome.
> It's Book Week (in Australia at least) and my school managed to snag him for a writer's workshop and a talk
v One of my favourite books is his Silvermay so I was pretty excited :)

message 5919: by [deleted user] (new)

^ It's book week?! How do I not know this?
> Sounds fun.
v I should read Silvermay...

message 5920: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ You should. It's really good :)
> YOU DON'T KNOW DIS???
V INNO! YOU'RE A TRAITOR TO THE BOOKWORM SOCIETY!! (Lol. Not really)

message 5924: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Byee! *hugs* I will talk to you later :)

v Apparently it's a book month

message 5925: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Can't believe I never realized. *facepalm*
> See ya Jo. Wait... We have a book month?
v Watching X-factor Aus... Hmmm...

message 5926: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Never really saw the point of X-factor. If they're truly talented, they can get there on their own.
> In fact, I never really see the point of any reality TV show
v Except the Hunger Games

message 5927: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Yeh. Sorry. I should probably be clearer.
> My family is watching X-factor. I'm surfing GR.
v Hunger Games rocks, but I think itd be met with too much protest if it were attempted in real life...

message 5928: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Yeah, I know. It was such a brilliant idea, though... Not that I want it to be real *shudders*
> Image and video hosting by TinyPic
v Good on you for being a rebel and not watching it :)

message 5929: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Yeah. We're pretty happy in this universe/time.
> Do they have internet connection in the HG world? :/
v Eh... Think its over now... They turned off the TV.

message 5930: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Okay
> The Capitol would, but not the districts. Well, maybe 1, 2 & 4 would, what with them being the Capitol's most favoured districts
v MUST. FINISH. ESSAY *falls asleep*

message 5931: by [deleted user] (new)

^ I never thought about it before today... Hmmm...
> Good luck. :)
v I think I have homework actually... Lot of hw. *groan*

message 5932: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ I have - A load of maths homework due Thursday, the science presentation due Thursday, zeh essay due tomorrow. Probably some other things as well. The only thing I'm really excited about is the book trailer
> STOP WITH THE SMILES IT'S NOTHING TO SMILE ABOUT!
v *sigh* I would much prefer reading. I haven't opened my book in a while, sadly - due to all the homework I'm getting. And it'll get worse. Especially as I'm getting exams at the end of THIS YEAR

message 5933: by [deleted user] (new)

^ I kinda feel bad for you... HOmework sucks. (So tempted to add a smile there)
> I have exams at the end of the year too. Everyone expects me to get like 100% all round...
v And then there's me who legitimately thinks I'm going to do horribly... :/

message 5934: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Everyone thinks that
> *sigh* These are going to be my FIRST exams. I'm more than a little nervous.
v It does :( I mean, I get why we have it, but it sucks

message 5935: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments ^ Exams are just big tests.
> They're not that bad.
V reallyl.

message 5936: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ *narrows eyes* Are you sure?
> Ernyegh. I'll find out soon enough
v How are you?

message 5937: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments ^ I'm alright.
> fingers hurt a fair bit.
V but that's to be expected for two hours of guitar playing.

message 5938: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ Yeah.
> Is that like my hand hurting after an hour of violin playing?
v Not that I have time for it, much.

message 5939: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments ^ yeah, that's what it's like.
> They hurt from pressing down on teh strings.
V so yeah.

message 5940: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ It's more my hand
> because of holding up the violin and the bow
v My fingers are used to it :)

message 5941: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments ^ well, I have callouses.
> huge ones.
V it's just the constant pressure on a small surface gets through.

message 5942: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ I would guess that you do, you seem to play A. LOT.
> I don't play that much
v Now I want to hear you play

message 5943: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments ^ I do play A LOT.
> Like, two hours a day, maybe.
V I would love to play for you.

message 5944: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ^ That would be amazing
> I look forward to the day I can hear you play in person :)
v Rah

message 5945: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ Saw some talk about The Hunger Games earlier. I wouldn't be a very interesting contestant. I'd get together a bunch of the other players, win them over with my considerable charisma and charm, and we'd sit it out and refuse to kill anyone. Even if we got killed (which is likely), it's better to be killed than to commit the sin of murder.
> DATS HOW I ROLL!
V There's a part of me that wants to write a Hunger Games fanfiction with that premise.

message 5946: by Oliver (new)

Oliver (oliverthereader) | 117 comments ^ Go for it Eris! I'm sure it'll turn out really great.
> Personally I did not like the Hunger Games at all (It's one of my least favorite books; I'm probably one of the only people who thinks that...), partly because I don't like that genre and also because I was forced to read it in school for a class a couple years ago. I'd rant about how much I disliked it, but I think I'll spare you all for today ;)
V What is your least favorite book?

message 5947: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ I'm "meh" about the series, personally. The first book had some good points to it, but it didn't deliver to the extent that I would have liked. The two sequels were disappointing, especially Mockingjay.
> My least favorite book? I have quite a few. Hush Hush, Catcher in the Rye, Fallen, Fifty Shades of Grey, and The Da Vinci Code.
V Usually I like to focus on the books I adore.

message 5948: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 19, 2013 11:51AM) (new)

^I liked HG, but definitely not my favorite books. They really made me think, and affected me emotionally, which is a plus (I think)
>My childhood favorite book:The Phantom Tollbooth Current favorite series:Dragons in Our Midst: The Complete Series Not to mention the Harry Potter series and anything Percy Jackson
v Hello!

message 5949: by Briana (new)

Briana (brianals) | 15203 comments Mod
^ HEELLOO!! Oh how I know that you love DioM, HP, and PJ
> Except she refuses to like PJ the best
v Then I just walk away sadly

message 5950: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Well, we can't have the same favorite series, can we?
> Harry Potter will always win out.
v Don't walk away! Percy Jackson still is amazing! I wouldn't write a fanfic for it otherwise! *offers hug*
