^ ;D
> *yawn* Just did some writing. I'm kind of excited ... a plot I jotted down the other day might actually be going somewhere! I have two/three characters, half a setting, a beginning, and definitely a problem ... an almost-plot, too. My new goal for the school holidays is to get this story up and running. :)
v Writing is so hard ...

message 5452: by [deleted user] (new)

^agreed
>also writing a story actually planning
V Where do you get your idea's from?

message 5453: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Wow... this is kinda ironic... I'm working on a story as well!!! *squeals*
> Story ideas are gotten from random places.
v What about you?

message 5454: by [deleted user] (new)

^Books and random place's
> i procrastinate to much
V Do you procrasinate

^ Awesome! All three of us! I'm excited :D How far have you guys got with your stories so far?
> Well, this particular idea I got from reading a book P: The character thought something, I thought it was interesting, I enlarged on it, and then wrote it down ... on my leg ... to type up later. (Hey, there was no paper nearby. Not where I wanted it, anyway)
v But I can get them from anywhere :) I write things down from dreams, feelings, signposts, strange or odd sentences, news reports ... usually I just get a random brainwave, though, and write it down, and those are the ones that actually turn into something xD :P I currently have three ideas that look promising, though only one is actually growing at the moment :)
Hardest thing you find in writing?

^ I forgot to mention Pinterest. You find all sorts of stunning and intriguing pictures/art/photographs/words on the internet that can really spark your imagination :) One of my current ideas was purely from a picture.

message 5457: by [deleted user] (new)

^ 2 322 words so far... I'm so weird though. Started with the Epilogue and working backwards... LOL.
> I don't really know wheremy book is going yet. Just know that it'll end with a character death. I've got the whole scene put together already.
v Sticking to something. I start heaps of stories and many are still unfinished. Has that ever happened to yuo?

message 5458: by [deleted user] (new)

^ I'm ruining the flow, but I don't like to write, so...
> And I'm going to the library later
v YAY!

message 5460: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ YAY! Have fun there. :) Not that you need my permission, since libraries are the definition of fun.
> What do I hate about writing? O_O Gosh, I don't know. Writing has been my passion and obsession for years, and I've never reached the point of hating it. Maybe what I hate is that I'm not as good as I wish I was. But that's why I write - because I want to get there. It's the Slytherin in me.
V Hogwarts house?

message 5461: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments ^ Huffleclaw.
> Yeah...
V I'm both.

message 5462: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ I am a Slytherpuff, so I salute you! I lean a bit more towards the Slytherin, though.
> But Hufflepuff is amazing. ^_^
V I should really do some more reviews. I have nine left. *headdesk*

message 5463: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments ^ I have so many reviews to do.
> I don't feel like doing them though.
V *sigh*

message 5464: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ I finished five (by reviews I mean the critiques on Figment), but so many are left! But hey, since they're free reviews I can't take as much time as I need, since they don't owe me anything.
> And I know. Reviews can get very tiring when they all start to pile up.
V Sigh.

message 5465: by [deleted user] (new)

^ Is sighing?
> Doesn't know how to play this game. >.<
V Is confused as well?

^ Random fact for the day, lol Inno!
> Probably Ancient Greece, for me. On my way back I'd stop in the 1800s and meet people like Jane Austen, Arthur Conan Doyle, J.R.R. Tolkien and Brian Jacques <3 :) I could spend hours talking to those people. Get signed copies of their books ... *sigh*
v Get me a time machine. NOW.

message 5475: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ Watch Doctor Who. ;) *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*
> But seriously, I'd love to get you a time machine. And I know where and when I would go: Deptford, England, May 30, 1593
V If you can guess or figure out why I want to go to that time, you get a cookie. And possibly my undying friendship.

^ Christopher Marlow.
> From what Google can tell me, he was killed in a drunken fight. At a house. In Deptford, England, on May 30, 1593. He was a dramatist, poet and translator.
My guess is that you want to a) find out what happened, or b) rescue him, yes?
v It sounds mysterious o.o
But why?

message 5477: by Marlene (last edited Jul 06, 2013 07:06PM) (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ^ Because there is strong evidence that Marlowe faked his death, rather than die. Seeing as how Marlowe was a spy, it's not out of the question.
> And Marlowe wasn't just a poet - he was one of the chief developers in the use of blank verse in dramatic plays, a format used in the Shakespeare plays. Marlowe's last play that he wrote was Edward II, and it bares a strong resemblance in style to the early plays of Shakespeare.
V I strongly believe that Marlowe is the author of the Shakespeare plays, but the only way to find out for certain would be to have a time machine and see if Marlowe actually died on that fateful day. So yeah, Jo, you receive my undying friendship! :D

v Thoughts on Sha..."

^ (How many times have I lied today? I don't know. I don't like lying. Whenever I do I feel very ashamed.)

My thoughts on the Marlowe-Shakespare connection? :D I was fascinated (and still am) by it! Marlowe and Shakespere were definitely not related, though. Shakespere was born in Stratford-upon-Avon and Marlowe was born in Canterbury. However, they were born in the same year and only a few months apart. Their respective upbringings were very different, though.
> We don't know much about Shakespere's schooling, but he definitely did not go to university, and before "Venus and Adonis" was first published no one had ever spoken about him. However, Marlowe went to a privileged grammar school on scholarship, and then attended college at Cambridge.
V And that's only a small fraction of what I know about the controversy. :P I'm in good company, though - Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Mortimer Adler, Walt Whitman, and many other famous writers and thinkers of the ages have doubted Shakespere's legitimacy as the writer.

(And that is not a picture of Marlowe and Shakespeare. Both are portraits of Shakespeare which were made after his death. This is Marlowe:

We're not 100% certain that it's a portrait of Marlowe ('tis anonymous), but it is strongly believed to be of him.)

> And that MARLOWE and WILLIAM both have 7 letters aaaaaaaaaaaand that SHAKESPEARE and CHRISTOPHER both have 11?
