I'm guessing The Shining would be much scarier when you listen to it as an audiobook.

To me, reading it is scarier. My imagination runs more wild when I'm reading.
The audiobook is narrated by actor Campbell Scott. I only listened to it briefly, he doesnt exactly exude fear, but then, I didnt hear him read one of the more intense passages.
