Smokepaw nodded at her friend, smiling.

Seaflame purred. "It's alright, I'll teach you. Just sit near the water, but don't let your shadow go over it. That'll scare away the fish. Hold your paw out like this," he instructed, sitting beside her, his paw poised over the water.

Skypaw flicked her ears and looked at her paws shyly. But she did smile at her friend briefly.

Copying Seaflame's movements exactly, Powdertail did the same. "I feel like an apprentice all over again," she complained.

Stormbreeze was chasing a rabbit up to the river and he quickly pounced and killed it with a swift bite. He then spotted Seaflame teaching Powdertail and Skypaw how to catch some fish.
He greeted,"Hey, I'm not interrupting anything am I?"

Smokepaw nodded. "Okay! Skypaw, come on! Let's go find Seaflame and Powdertail!" she giggled. "Bet that they're mooning over each other!"

Skypaw giggled. "Bet they are!" she purred, dashing off towards their scent. Maybe it she hurried, she could catch a fish for herself too.

"Me too!" Skypaw panted. She skidded to a stop. "They're fishing. One major rule of fishing, find you own water source." she told Smokepaw. She led her friend over to a fountain a couple cat-lengths away and leapt up on the edge, balancing so she didn't fall in. She looked back at her friend. "You ready?"

((Hey guys. I'm really sorry I haven't been on, it's all that exam time and everyone is sorta angry and each other cause were all stressed. So then everyone gets depressed. It's that time of year XD. I'll try to get on more, I really will. Sorry, really!!))

Seaflame laughed. "Fishing's easy. Youll get it, I know you will." Looking over her stance, Seaflame resumed his over the water. "Okay. See the little black darts down there? Those are the fish. You kinda wanna hook you're paw in, real quick, and go behind the fish. Keep your claws out, too, so you can get a better grip. Are you ready?" he mewed, smiling encouragingly.

Smokepaw nodded. "Yeah!"

"Ok. First of all, don't let your shadow go over the water. It scares the fish." Skypaw began. She led Smokepaw to the side of the fountain where their shadows cast behind them.

Smokepaw was careful not to lean over, but she was so excited, she peered over just a little bit. Fish was so cool!

((No "finals" for me yet. I'm still in middle school so they're called EOGs [End of Grade tests]. I'll have them in about two weeks so don't expect to be very active then.))


"Now try to do what I do." Skypaw told Smokepaw. She poised her right paw just above the water in a place where it didn't cast a shadow. She waited, completely still. Then, suddenly, she flashed her paw out and hooked a fish on her claws, tossing it out of the water. It landed on the ground, flopping around, and Skypaw quickly nipped it's side, killing it.

Smokepaw's jaw dropped in awe. "I'm not that patient at all...but I'll try it!" She raised her paw in the shadows, her tail twitching. It was a long time before she saw a fish. She clumsily got it out and squealed as water splashed on her, but as the fish was getting away, she brought it back and killed it with a bite. She turned to her friend proudly.

Stormbreeze stared up looking at the clear sky, he was clearly dazed.

Nightdawn looked at the cats. "Come on, our clanmates are in danger!" he yowled, then dashed off toward the next area, and where he thought he could see his sisters outline.

Smokepaw picked up her fish then dashed after Nightdawn, excited and eager.

Skypaw picked up her fish also and raced after Nightdawn.



Rani watched the cats go. Her eyes widened in horror as she realized where they were going. "The dogs!" she gasped. She leapt to her paws. "I'll be back Melanor! I have to lead them away from the dogs!" she mewed. She raced after the clan cats, as fast as her small legs could carry her
"Wait! There are dogs that way!" she called anxiously, but she knew they couldn't hear her so she kept running.

Blazestrike dashed after Nightdawn.

[Catfish :D]

Seaflame looked up. "I think we're going," he announced to Powdertail. "We'll have to cut the fishing lession short. D'you wanna start it again later?" he asked, before snatching another look at the retreating cats. "C'mon, let's go."

Stormfeather woke up and got to his paws. he noticed the other cats running off and raced after them.
