Im doing the how many books can you read by the end of the year and how can you can the books to show up that you have read to your % thing...i hope i asked this we people can understand it...sometimes i cant get questions out the way i want to ask them

Rosa I think when you sign up for the challenge it asks for a shelf name. You have to name a shelf like read in 2012 etc then when youarj your book as read you mark it also with that shelf name and then they should show up.

I was trying to update my Monster Challenge 2012 post, but it keeps saying 'Page Not Found' when I click on the link to the challenge.

Yesterday I was getting all sorts of error messages and over capacity so I guess GR is up to its maintenance issues again.
I've noticed it a few other places. Let's give it a day or so and see if they get their junk sorted out.

It's happening all over Goodreads from what I can tell. :( Frustrating.
I'd like an DIY at 2nd chance challenges. I can't keep track of all challenges, and I just want to participate on almost all of them. Sometimes when a challenge is released, I can't participate on that moment, but later I may have a chance, and I can't because it's already over, or something like it. With an DIY, I'd be able to join any challenge I wanted. Just an idea. Hope you guys understand.

After a set amount of time I send them to archives but they're still there for future use. I haven't had near enough coffee this morning so if I misunderstood let me know lol!
Not really, Jenne. I saw this thread. For example, let's say I missed the Fall Challenge, and would like to play it. I checked and the Fall challenge isn't at the 2nd CC.Only a few challenges are in that folder. Or do all past challenges goes there?
What I meant is that we had a chance to have a second shot at any (single) challenge.
That's why I mentioned the DIY.
I'm about to crash, so let me know if I'm not making any sense lol.

Dyllan we do only keep a few challenges in the 2nd chance (they all go there t some point but then they get moved out after a time)...Like for a monthly challenge we only keep the last two, BUT they do get moved to archives and the threads are still up and goin so you can post and ask questions and it will still work like a regular challenge...http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_.... Also there is a Challenge GR's group that is called 2nd chance challenge (I will see if I can find the link) that use a lot of of archived challenges so maybe you could find some of the previous ones there! I hope that helps what you are looking for...As far as the DIY I'm not exactly sure how that would be set up, but maybe if you explain we can see if there is something similar or something we can set up!!!

Thanks for getting back to me Shell. Let's say I missed the Winter Challenge and now the challenge is over, but I'd like to do it anyway. Inside the 2nd chance challenges folder, I'd be able to create my own thread and play the Winter Challenge. Or I could create a post at my challenge Logs.
I've heard about this group too. I think it's a great idea. I just want to organize all my challenges before joining another group.

If the Challenge is in the 2nd Chance folder you can still use that thread to play if you want or you can def create a thread to do the challenge...and their might even be others that are doing it with you! And of course you can always add any challenge to your challenge Log...Maybe just let us know if there is a challenge that you are looking for and we can help you track it down...The Mods try to move completed challenges to the 2nd chance folder with in a week once the deadline is done! Also I'm not sure if you noticed but the 2nd Chance folder does have an Index http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9... that you can check out what's in there...also Jenne is the Mod that archives the challenges FROM 2nd chance folder to regular ARchives, so if your looking for something you might ask her:) I really hope this helps Dyllan!

Joanne towards the end of this month sign ups will start for the next round. I always send out a mass email to the group announcing it but sometimes GR acts funky so be sure to check in the next couple of weeks :)

Elena I'm so sorry but it was lost. We've been moving things around and archiving old and challenges without any updates/new posts in months. It was one that should of gone to second chance but didn't for some reason.
Ok, I guess i will just start a new one, forget about the old :)
