We'll be reading Darwin's Dangerous Idea: Evolution and the Meanings of Life by Daniel C. Dennett from November 1st through the end of December.

This thread can be used to give book reviews as well as for a general discussion of the book. Please feel free to start a new discussion in the book club folder if you'd like to focus on specific aspects of or ideas from the book.

I started reading this last year and, while I was enjoying it immensely, I kept getting a little bogged down. I found I'd have to keep stopping so I could parse the concepts (I'm fine on the science, but struggled with the philosophical background from which Dennett writes). I'm ashamed to say that my last hiatus stretched to the present, so I'm looking forward to jumping back in and finishing it.
