Cases like that just get merged into the most common edition (which is what happens when they are combined with all existing editions and then deleted).
If the user who entered it didn't specify which year, publisher, etc., then it seems safe to assume they don't care. And if they do, they can use the handy little "switch to this edition" link any time.

I started editing it, then found 'bigger issues' and stopped... Did a search on Google for the ASIN, with nothing from Amazon. I then searched on the title + publisher, which gives this copy as ISBN:978-0-7582-5566-2. That ISBN is already on GR as #9087479 (link 1 above).
