If you lived in a society where everything was decided for you, what would you do? Would you be happy there?

J. JaeBloggs I probably wouldn't like it. I don't like restraints. In a place that seems so perfect, so many secrets live behind it. Your whole life is just a game of statistics where everything is sorted. Where you don't even realize what the Society does. I don't like a lot of rules, much less total control of my life, so I might have citations up to my ears if I lived in this book. I am a creative writer, if I couldn't write, just type, and the words were ripped way from me, only 100 poems only 100 paintings, I love art and music, but I think I might have gone mad if I lived there, or I would be a frequent visitor to the Archivists. Either way, I couldn't live there.

Aden At first I would be so happy caus I don't have to pay bills and other stuff and then I would figure out a way to get out of the society. But in all honsty I might rebel but only after I meet my match then lets see how it is after that.

Don't be fooled by stress. Yes it would be easy to have everything chosen for you but it would be unfullfilling. Part of what makes life exciting is overcoming adversity. While I was reading the book I have to admit that it the society sounded great as I was reading it but I always had this feeling of uneasiness. I realized that the society was a cage that irradicated the need to think. My mind wouldn't survive that world.

Ari I wouldn't like knowing the day I would die, to be honest. I wouldn't mind having a career chosen for me, it would suit my talents. My husband I could stand, they choose the person depending on the personality and status, to see who clashes. But I could never help but wonder about making my own decisions, the big ones. You would still be able to make your own decisions about some small things.

Good point about not wanting to know the day you die. It just takes the adventure out of life.
