some bad ones that i read were house of the scorpions.
plain terrible books were tuck everlasting.
down these mean streets just gave me a better perspective on how gangs can affect someones life and how and why people specially teens turn to gangs to get the sense of feeling that someone cares about them when there not getting that feeling at their home from their parents or loved ones.
i am legend was just an amazing book all around im still in the process of reading it but so far the book has been very interesting except for chapter 1 that was probably the only boring part of the whole book so far.
i read down these mean streets during my final weeks of 8th grade and into my freshman year and the book was just an interesting book.
i am legend im still in the process of reading.
i read those 2 just for fun but the other horrible books i read for school and they were just not fun at all to read and they were annoying.

The books that make you actually want to read more. Books that are just plain terrible are the ones that you read the first page and just fall asleep. =]

some bad books are some of the stephen king books i've read. theyre just plain garbage he writes without thinking. i TRIED reading some for fun but culdnt do it.
a book i thought was just plain terrible was this one book i read about a grl during halloween when i was in 9th grade. i forgot the name but god was it horrible. i culdnt finish it thats how bad it was.

The alchemist i liked because it really made me think about things. Epiphanies were being had all over the place while reading that book. I surprised myself by liking it so much, seeing as its somewhat of a religious book and i'm not really into that stuff. I don't recall ever reading a "bad book"....its just some books are better than others.
I'm really glad to hear you liked the Alchemist! We're going to be reading it really soon in our section. I hope it's twice as good the second time around. :0) I'm reading it now and I think it's awesome-tastic!
Spread the word...tell your friends...the Alchemist is an AWESOME book!! I"m not making it up :0)

Why were they so significant? When did you read them? Did you read them just for fun, or where they assigned for class?
