I think dogs are angels in disguise. I always thought that even before I started reading the magnificent works by Dean Koontz.

I've always thought so, too, though I suspect my puppy has a streak of the devil in him, too. lol

This morning I went to the dentist before work and it was so fun because my dentist just got two new Golden Retrievers that help in his office and they greeted me with great enthusiasm as I walked through the door. I really like those dogs :-)

Fun!

My dog definitely understands what I'm saying (I have a beagle). She's a much better listener than most people :-)

One of them (Amber) works as the dental hygienist. She flossed my teeth with her dog hair and polished with her tongue. The other (Rowdy) does the drill work using his canine canines to hold and maneuver the drill. Apparently the dogs work for kibble and treats so it is much more cost efficient for my dentist to employ them than humans.
okay, okay, I'm just kidding. My dentist office offers golden retriever therapy and they just make me happy to greet me. I like to pet them and play with them. It feels good when they chew on my arm.

The house was bit too cool, so she reset the air conditioner . But for the susurrant sound of cold air coming through the wall vents and the occasional single ring the telephone made before the machine answered it, the house was as silent as Paul Attison's gloom-shrouded office.
