Great theories about the writer who is visiting Storybrook. I hadn't thought about him being the boy who found Emma. Hopefully we will find out soon!
I love this show. I like the twist that they give to the fairy tales

the ones she wears as the Evil Queen? Yes her outfits are awesome. I do think they should have let Snow/Mary Margret have long hair though both lives. That short hair makes me think of her as boy...an androinous one.
I love everyone's outfits! It's sooo cool seeing them as they truly are, and them having no idea when Snow White walks by Red Riding Hood in a Diner. Haha, I wanna see their reactions when people slowly come back to reality: "What the heck!?"

Does anyone have any thoughts on the what the author is doing in town? He took Henry's Fairytale book, so he already knew about the book but how??

Yes, it was Henry's copy. When Henry went to get the book that he hid at the playground it was gone. The Author guy broke the lock on the box that Henry had stored the book in inorder to get it.
I don't think that the Stranger/Author wrote the book. I think it's possible he is Rumples son, but I'm looking into clues for now.Anyway, I think it'll be cool to see him interact with Henry after he's read the book. He'll notice the connection between the book and the town because Henry had said they weren't just some mad-up stories to the Stranger/Author while they were in the diner. It would be funny if he went up to people and was like, "So watched any good Disney movies lately? Who's your favorite character?" Or just started talking to them and was like, "Wait a sec...? You're...!" That'd be funny and pretty darn cool:)

I don't think the author is an author. I think he is someone Regina hired.

[Spoilers if you haven't seen the 2/12 episode]OMG this week's episode was sooo amazing! Rumple is a perfect Beast (since he sees himself that way-as a beast). I just loved this episode! Oh man, I can't wait to see where this goes, since the Queen knows he knows. Oh, and the "chipped" cup...Awwww! Man, when he finds out Belle's alive...he's gonna be so freakin' pissed!!!! (Sorry for the fowl language, it just seems more powerful.) Dang, I love this show.
it was a very good episode, the part that caught my attention is when the queen told rumple that she had a mermaid problem (im a big lil mermaid fan lol) the whole show i've benn wondering how they would work a mermaid into stoorybrook lol..... but yeah belle and the beast and then chip.... it was awsome... and i agree with Kyra, when he finds our hes going to be pissed!i cant belived david/price charming gave her the wrong card!
oh and about the author/strager, very interesting that he might be rumple's sun... i hadnt thought of that
Ya, I think it'd be interesting if the Stranger were Rumples son. But in a spoiler picture (just got to abc.go.com) I saw a top hat (Mad Hatter anyone?) on his motorcycle. I'm excited to find out cause I hear that at least the caterpillar is showing up this season! So excited, I love Alice in Wonderland!Oh, I totally noticed when Regina mentioned the mermaid! I will love to see that as well!!!!!
Oh, man, do I love Robert Carlyle as Rumpelstiltskin! He does such funny mannerisms and noises, and he blends evil and sad so well. I really bought the romance between him and Belle. So sad!!I didn't think of the writer as being Rumpel's son (could be). I thought maybe the Big Bad Wolf - since he blew into town on a badass motorcycle, made everyone nervous, and gave hardcore attitude to Emma. But then he took out the typewriter... so I don't think he's the Big Bad Wolf anymore lol

That's what I thought. Like he was the author of the book. It was sort of cool.The water monster was interesting and creepy.
i was thinking maybe he added stuff to it, maybe when henry looks over it theres going to be a surprise thing.... i liked the wishing well part with emma

Yeah, not so charming in my humble opinion. Despite the fact that I don't think he is all that handsom, he is turning into a complete jerk. I don't know. Just not trustworthy.

I'm glad somebody does, Diana. lol.I'm starting to think that the whole point of the show is to demonstrate that every prince charming or "hero" will do unspeakable things in the right circumstances. I hope it isn't going to end up being a downer in the end, and I don't really think it will, but these writers are taking fairytale into reality. So many things could happen with that.

Yep! He's a real jerk. I don't know why Mary Margaret would want him after that. I know I wouldn't.I don't currently like the turn the show has taken in this regard, but I am hopeful things will turn around. I just think there has been this movement lately to say that right and wrong are undefinable. That was my point before. I wish HollyWood would stop doing that.

spoiler if u havent seen this past sundays episode....no when she goes to the school to see mary margaret she crashes into some guys, and then he turns out to be the guy in the armor.... and hes the one that finds the empty car at the end....

Yeah, the guy she knocked into and the guy who was turned into gold are the same person. My sister loves that actor. I guess, he was on her favorite tv show (Durham County) so that's all I heard about during this episode (gah!)
