Hannah | 92 comments well... it depends on what kind of books do you like?

let's see... you can try books by Meg Cabot. some of my favourites are Avalon High, Teen Idol, and Size 12 is Not Fat. her books are always funny, and the language is easy enough to understand. but maybe too easy though, you may not find a lot of new vocabularies.

have you heard of the Twilight series? sangat famous sekarang- the object of obsession for a lot of teenage girls recently. in fact, it's movie is coming out end of this year. but don't be intimidated by the thickness of the books, bahasa dia tak susah sangat.

In fact, it's the object of my obsession too. If there is such thing as twilightmum Malaysian franchise, I'd probably be the founder. Haha!

Buku no. 1 dia standard price. Dalam 35.50. Lepas tu harga dia naik dalam seringgit dua macam tu sampai jadi 49.90 untuk Book 4. Perhaps in time harga dia akan turun.

Though if you went to the MPH warehouse sale last time, you'd get a very good price. I bought no. 4 for 32.50. rrp 49.90. hehehe

Returning back to your question, how about Jeffrey Archer and Sidney Sheldon?

Kataklicik | 714 comments I tak berani nak recommend buku, sebab it all depends on what sort of content / genre you like. Tapi yes, it's always easier to start with YA (young adult) books. Or, cari chick lit, selalunya content tak berapa berat. Senang baca, senang paham.

:) Happy trails!

Hannah | 92 comments haha.. twilightmum? ok, let me rephrase my sentence: Twilight- the object of obsession of the FEMALE community :)

yep... lagi baik start dengan YA or chick lit. but out of those two, I think YA generally has better language.

Lily | 1 comments novel by Danielle Steel is not too difficult....
so i suggest to try read that book....

Danielle Steel's novels are a bit long winded. The first half part of her novels are boring and might be testing your patience. Perhaps you can try children's novels, such as Roald Dahl's, Lemony Snickett's The Series of Unfortunate Events, and JK Rowling's Harry Potter series.

Sidney Sheldon's are pretty easy, too. So are Jeffrey Archer's novels.

erm first book of narnia is actually the magician's nephew. I think the Lion, The witch and the wardrobe is actually the second.

Or am I wrong?

Robin | 47 comments Xnak try Harry Potter series? Bahasanya mudah dan ceritanya best. At least best from book 1 until book 4 lah. Lagi best baca buku dr tgk filem.

If you like classics, try The Secret Garden, A Little Princess (both by Frances Hodgson Burnett) and also Anne of Green Gables.

Newer favorites of mine: Ella Enchanted and also A Single Shard. Both are children books :)

I always wanted to try Ella Enchanted but it seems out of print at every trip to nearest bookstore. I suppose I need to expand my km-radius of booksearching. Love the movie though very very much.

But Ella Enchanted the movie is very different from the book right? I didn't watch it, but I've read the review. The book is great, though. So don't give up, keep searching. chaiyok2! lol.

Oh yes! I totally agree with Robin. Anne of Green Gables series is fantabulous! So is The Secret Garden by F.H. Burnett.

Yeah, I also heard Ella Enchanted movie was very different from the book. That's why I'm still debating whether to see the movie nor not. I'm afraid my reaction will be "What! That's not what happened!" or "Why on earth did they cut that part?!" At least that's what I thought while watching Harry Potter movies.. lol.

To Faizah, keep searching! The one I bought was the only copy left at Kinokuniya. Guess I was lucky.

For me, the first book (Anne of Green Gables) is always the best, right? And I love The Secret Garden! Still dreaming of creating such 'secret' garden myself, ha. No such luck yet.

Well, I love children and YA books, so I always end up recommending them to people...

I suppose movie adaptation can be a bit choppy at times. I still thought Fred and George deserve more appearance in Potter movies.

I usually try to read the book beforehand. It's sort of becoming an obsession. I HAVE to make sure that my imagination is not ruined by the movie.

Suppose I was not so lucky with Ella Enchanted. However since the movie is likable to my standards, reading the book must be better.

I'll keep searching. Thanks. It's good to know the book is much like here in Goodreads.

Agreed. However, Anne of Windy Poplars is my favourite. The way she handles those stuck-ups Pringles is admirable! Honestly, all of them are interchangeably my favourites.

I discover the joy of reading The Secret Garden novel a bit too late. Yet, I'm glad I eventually got it. Better late than never ;-p
