apparently KFC was inspired by medieval siege warfare, when boiling oil was poured on the attackers. When there was nothing else to eat, the besieged would have to eat what deep-fried corpses they could retrieve.
The brainwave for KFC came when one noted that it tasted a bit like chicken.

I'm really starting to be glad I grew up eating in front of the television set. . . much less violence.

Lisa Shiroff | 840 comments I'm taking my son to the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market next month (I get nominated for Mom of the Year, right?). You can find all sorts of fun things to by there. This year, Meloddities will be selling their " handmade taxidermy collection" articles. Here's some of their stuff: http://meloddities.storenvy.com/

I may have to drink heavily when I get home.

They aren't even wrapped in bandages, or in little pyramids! I bet they don't even have a curse!

I'm surprised trading standards aren't all over them, really.

They're in Jersey, Joseph. Trading standards can be easily overlooked here.

I got another PC (wife got me a motherboard for my BD) but having issues with the OS install. Being an engineer, I have to do something complicated, and it's not working out. I get on between installs and post. I should go back to just a simple install, but I generally feel the need to make it outrageous. Weird personality quirk I guess.
