i agree! so many people likes piper but she seems a little flat and perfect. i try to like her (really i do) but i don't. ah well. reading that was satisfying. glad not everyone likes piper:) she's a little bit of a miss perfect and from the lost hero, it said "this one needs no improvement. And piper agreed" that line really annoys me. i don't know why but it does!

Personally, I'd pick Jason/Reyna over Jason/Piper. If I were Rick Riordan, I'd pick them because there are so much things to explore in the Jason/Reyna without abandoning the plot. I can simply write some romance fluff while the Mark of Athena is going on. That way, there would be romance without abandoning the plot. Meanwhile, in Jason/Piper, their feelings were sort of explored (especially Piper) in the Lost Hero and there won't be much of space for the Mark of Athena (unless you want to over load it with romance).And besides, Juno/Hera controlled the memories of Jason and Percy, and I doubt she didn't take the Percy's memory of Annabeth for a special reason (imagine how Percy would act in Son of Neptune if he didn't remember Annabeth). Meanwhile, if she didn't take Jason's memory of Reyna, then the Leo, Piper and Jason adventure wouldn't work out.
All I'm saying is that Jason and Reyna would be a much more interesting pair (at least for me). Sure, she's serious but it would be nice seeing Jason trying to get past her seriousness for once, and there is a reason why Reyna (and the camp) waited for Jason for eight months. I just don't think that it would work out that way if Reyna just thinks of him as a mere comrade. Besides, I find it quite cute that the last private conversation she had with was with Jason.
Anyway, that's all I want to say. =)))) Those are just my opinion and there's no way I'm Rick Riordan. =D

I really do hope that Reyna ends up getting Jason. I just feel like we haven't seen Piper's character develop much and not getting Jason would be a perfect way to see that develop.

If you want more details on why I support Reyna, read my new and improved rant below!:
I support Reyna ALL THE WAY!!!! I, unlike others, actually have reasons, though. First of all, let me start off by telling you why I like Reyna better than Piper.
Reyna is:
- Kickass (C'mon, she's the daughter of the goddess of war and can DEFINITELY fight. After all, Percy did see her "flying into battle" when Camp Jupiter was attacked.)
- Deathly loyal to her camp (She would do anything to save the camp, even let Percy be praetor.)
- Stoic (She tries not to show emotion.)
- Not unlike Annabeth (Reyna and Annabeth are both smart, kick-ass, and loyal, although, in my opinion, Annabeth has a worse temper and acts like an Ice Queen sometimes.)
- Strong (I mean, she ran Camp Jupiter for pretty much a year while looking for Jason while fighting off monsters while fighting off Octavian.)
- A leader (You cannot deny that she's worthy of being praetor.)
Now, I'm going to justify Reyna's "faults." You Reyna haters and Jasper/Piper supporters say:
- Reyna is possessive (REYNA is possessive???? You're kidding me. Piper CLAIMED Jason. If that's not possessive, I don't know what is.)
- Reyna is too strict and doesn't have a personality (Yes, maybe that's BECAUSE she's a ROMAN???? If your favorite Greek camper was Roman, they would be strict, too. And, don't say that Jason isn't strict. Trust me, he is. He's just in a Greek environment and reacts differently to his surroundings. And Reyna does have a personality. She's just a secondary character and we don't see much of her.)
- She "flirted" with Percy (This annoyed me at first, too. But then, I realized that it was BECAUSE SHE WAS DESPERATE!!! Her camp was about to be attacked by monsters, Gaea was awakening, and Octavian was pressuring her to hold praetor elections!!!! She wasn't actually "flirting" with him. She just put the offer out there just to make it a little more tempting. NOW THAT'S, something to admire. She was willing to give up her happiness and love life to save her camp. You go, girl!)
I have about a million more reasons (exaggerating) that I could tell you. Unfortunately, I need to get onto other topics. Now, time for why I don't like Piper. She's almost a Mary-Sue. No, not completely. But she almost is. In fact, my friends (two of them Jasper fans) and I took a Mary-Sue Literacy test and she scored: This character's not a Mary Sue...YET. The writer better watch out for this character and be sure to give him/her some more flaws or guess what? We'll have another Mary-Sue to add to the "characters we despise" collection.
1. She's gorgeous.
2. She's a daughter of Aphrodite but isn't shallow.
3. She's a daughter of Aphrodite but can fight.
4. She's one of the seven in the prophecy.
5. She can pretty much control people with her words. (That's a pretty epic power, isn't it?)
6. She overthrew Drew for the leadership of the cabin.
7. She's kind/nice/whatever.
8. She CHARMSPEAKED Jason BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!! C'mon, people!!!!! Even HERA couldn't do that. My Mary-Sue bells are ringing. UPDATE: Okay, now that I've read the SoN, I've realized that Thanatos was chained. Oh, thank god RR added that in. I thought I was going to explode from the Mary-Sue-ness.
And another thing. For the people saying that Piper was so much in love with Jason that she managed to charmspeak him back from the dead (even though Thanatos was chained), let me tell you this story. My friend's brother was completely and utterly in love with this girl and feelings were mutual. Siriusly, I could feel how much they loved each other. When two people are truly in love, you can see it by the way that they look at each other. They got married. One year later, the brother was driving and got hit by a drunk driver. (That part makes me so PISSED. Please, don't drive and drink.) He went into this coma. His wife begged and cried and begged again to stay alive but he ended up dying. You should've seen the girl (not naming names here for privacy reasons.) She was completely and utterly heartbroken. She was a zombie for months. It was terrible. I felt some of the pain that she was feeling whenever I laid eyes on her. The point is love can't break the boundaries from death. That cycle can never be broken. Can you bring someone back from the dead because your love is so powerful for them? No. But in RR's book, yes. But that's really RARE. And it all depends on Hades or maybe Thanatos. You can't just stand by your dead "love" and go, "Jason, come back, please," and he'll come back EVEN if you have charmspeak. You have to appeal to Hades. Yes, love is powerful. But I doubt that it could break all of the boundaries. I'm sorry, but I HATE IT when romantics go around preaching about love. Sorry, back to the rant.
9. She's popular (Yes, she is. In the beginning of the book, she wasn't but now she is due to her saving Hera and overthrowing Drew) and has an amazing best friend (Leo.)
10. Apparently, her mom is the daughter of Uranus so that makes her mom's symbol (love) more powerful, therefore, making Piper more powerful.
Oh yeah, for the people who are rebutting these arguments as to how Piper's a little too perfect, I've noticed that they're rebutting them one by one. I'm not saying that one of those reasons I gave makes her an almost Mary-Sue. I'm saying all of them together makes her an almost Mary-Sue.
Other reason's I don't like Piper:
- She claimed Jason
- She acted bitchy while overthrowing Drew. Yes, Drew was bitchy in the first place, but Piper didn't have to fight fire with fire.
- She…I don't want to say "whines," but that's what I think she does. Siriusly, her life is a PIECE OF CAKE compared to others.
Reyna isn't a Mary-Sue because, she has flaws. She's not popular, she's strict, she's not gorgeous, etc. So, basically Reyna's ACTUALLY HUMAN! (Half-human)
You know, I want to like Piper. I really do. It's just I'm prevented by her getting in between of Jayna and all of the reasons I've listed above. I really do hope that her character develops more in the MoA so I can like her. Oh, BTW, check out my story that I wrote called Piper on fanfiction.
Now, why I don't support Jasper and support Jayna:
1. You've heard in the Son of Neptune about how Reyna frantically searched for Jason. Yes, she didn't go all-out like Annabeth but that was because she was actually THE leader (Lupa doesn't interfere) of Camp Jupiter. Annabeth could search for Percy because Chiron was there to take over. Also, since Percy was put into a deep sleep, Camp Jupiter had to wait for 8 months before they had ANY clue about what happened to Jason. Annabeth only had to wait four days before she found the boy with one shoe.
2. Reyna's known Jason for about four years. Piper's known Jason for about 8 months. Plus, how much does Piper really know about Jason?
3. Venus/Aphrodite could be influencing Piper and Jason. Do you really think that Aphrodite would favor Reyna over her own daughter? That's not true love.
4. Also, for those who say, "Oh, Jason didn't remember Reyna like Percy remembered Annabeth." Oh really? What if Aphrodite made it like that? What if Juno couldn't wipe away Percy's memories but that was because Aphrodite was favoring him? Huh? So you can't say that Reyna meant little to Jason if he remembered part of her after his quest. You say that Jason and Reyna weren't together and that is true but if Reyna meant little to Jason, WHY would he be guilty about what he was doing with Piper???? Also, Aphrodite could actually be influencing them because in TLH, you ONLY saw the kinder side to her. You forgot that she can be shallow. And also, in the books, Aphrodite says that she doesn't force them to do something they don't want to do; she just gives them "a little push." Mmmm-hmmm. Sure, hon. What about Helen and Paris? Aphrodite MADE Helen fall in love with Paris. THAT is fake love. Why did she do that? Because they "looked so cute together." Therefore, there is a possibility that she is influencing them.
ALSO, Percy bathed in the River Styx. Annabeth IS his mortal point. He CAN'T forget her at all unless he wants to die. Jason didn't do that so maybe that's why he didn't remember Reyna.
5. Piper glorifies Jason. She thinks he's perfect. Let's look at Percy and Annabeth. Does Annabeth think that Percy is perfect? No. But he's her seaweed brain. Piper, on the other hand, can only see Jason's glory.
6. If you people are thinking that Piper and Jason have to be together to unite the two camps, then you're WRONG! That wouldn't be true love, now would it?
7. JASPER is sooooo cliché. C'mon, the strong and powerful hero with the beautiful yet dangerous heroine? Sooooo cliché. Let's see how many stories have this couple. Clary and Jace from the Mortal Instruments. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Carter Kane and Zia Rashid. Sadie Kane and Walt/Anubis. Percy/Annabeth. Arwin/Aragon and Faramir/Ewoyn from The Lord of the Rings. Annie/Tom from The Horse Whisperer. Katniss/Gale/Peeta from The Hunger Games. Ron/Hermione. Hugo/Isabel from The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Lindsey/Talon from Downsiders.Sally/Jim/Fredrick from Ruby in the Smoke. Leslie/Jesse from Bridge to Terabithia. Trixie/Jim from Trixie Beldon. Jonathan/Jessica from Midnighters. Rob/Sistine from The Tiger Rising. Ben/Sal fromWalk Two Moons. Mark/Megaan/Leeta from Transall Saga. Meg/Calvin from A Wrinkle in Time. Kira/Jonas/Matty from The Giver/Messenger/Gathering Blue. Spaz/Lavina from The Last Book in the Universe. And don't even get me started on Twilight pairings.Wow, that's a long list, and these are all from the top of my head. I can probably go on and on and on… Honestly, it's getting OLD. We Jayna fans want something fresh and new.
8. Jayna is better because Reyna is the strict one that can have fun and Jason is the kind one that can be serious.
9. Piper and Jason seem a little thrown together, ya know? Like, Piper's memories of Jason's were fake, and Jason didn't really even know Piper but he began to develop feelings for her in a day. It just seems so unnatural. Other couples didn't develop feelings for each other that quickly. Percy and Annabeth obviously didn't. There is “love at first sight” but coming from both people just isn’t natural.
Some of you guys also argue that Jason would've never fallen in love with Piper if he was already in love with Reyna. But he hasn't fallen in love with Piper yet. He just really likes her. Here are our theories as to how he fell in love with Piper and why he shouldn't pick her:
Piper's a daughter of Aphrodite and obviously beautiful. It would be pretty hard not to have a crush on her, wouldn't it? And like I said before, Piper's mother is Aphrodite and could be influencing them. Why? Because Aphrodite can be nice and kind BUT she can also be vain and self-centered. She also sometimes makes fake love happen like with Helen and Paris just because, "they looked so cute together!"
Greeks Drool – Romans Rule on FanFiction had a theory about Piper's color-changing eyes, and I LOVE IT! Jason lost his memory right? SO let's say he's trying to subconsciously remember Reyna, but he can't because his memory got wiped away. So whenever he looks at Piper, who's a daughter of APHRODITE, (who can change her appearance to show who you like or love) he sees eyes that change color because he can't remember the color of Reyna's eyes. After all, Leo doesn't mention anything about Piper's eyes changing color and neither does Piper. It's only Jason. Suspicious, eh…?
I have a million more reasons about why Reyna and Jayna are better than Piper and Jasper. Feel free to debate with me. But please THINK before you type something. Some Jasper fans are actually reasonable and give me valid reasons. Other Jasper fans are like, “Reyna’s a bitch. End of story.” And trust me, that isn't a valid reason.

Oh yeah, for the people who are rebutting these arguments as to how Piper's a little too perfect, I've noticed that they're rebutting them one by one. I'm not saying that one of those reasons I gave makes her an almost Mary-Sue. I'm saying all of them together makes her an almost Mary-Sue.
Other reason's I don't like Piper:
- She claimed Jason
- She acted bitchy while overthrowing Drew. Yes, Drew was bitchy in the first place, but Piper didn't have to fight fire with fire.
- She…I don't want to say "whines," but that's what I think she does. Siriusly, her life is a PIECE OF CAKE compared to others.
Reyna isn't a Mary-Sue because, she has flaws. She's not popular, she's strict, she's not gorgeous, etc. So, basically Reyna's ACTUALLY HUMAN! (Half-human)
You know, I want to like Piper. I really do. It's just I'm prevented by her getting in between of Jayna and all of the reasons I've listed above. I really do hope that her character develops more in the MoA so I can like her. Oh, BTW, check out my story that I wrote called Piper on fanfiction.
Now, why I don't support Jasper and support Jayna:
1. You've heard in the Son of Neptune about how Reyna frantically searched for Jason. Yes, she didn't go all-out like Annabeth but that was because she was actually THE leader (Lupa doesn't interfere) of Camp Jupiter. Annabeth could search for Percy because Chiron was there to take over. Also, since Percy was put into a deep sleep, Camp Jupiter had to wait for 8 months before they had ANY clue about what happened to Jason. Annabeth only had to wait four days before she found the boy with one shoe.
2. Reyna's known Jason for about four years. Piper's known Jason for about 8 months. Plus, how much does Piper really know about Jason?
3. Venus/Aphrodite could be influencing Piper and Jason. Do you really think that Aphrodite would favor Reyna over her own daughter? That's not true love.
4. Also, for those who say, "Oh, Jason didn't remember Reyna like Percy remembered Annabeth." Oh really? What if Aphrodite made it like that? What if Juno couldn't wipe away Percy's memories but that was because Aphrodite was favoring him? Huh? So you can't say that Reyna meant little to Jason if he remembered part of her after his quest. You say that Jason and Reyna weren't together and that is true but if Reyna meant little to Jason, WHY would he be guilty about what he was doing with Piper???? Also, Aphrodite could actually be influencing them because in TLH, you ONLY saw the kinder side to her. You forgot that she can be shallow. And also, in the books, Aphrodite says that she doesn't force them to do something they don't want to do; she just gives them "a little push." Mmmm-hmmm. Sure, hon. What about Helen and Paris? Aphrodite MADE Helen fall in love with Paris. THAT is fake love. Why did she do that? Because they "looked so cute together." Therefore, there is a possibility that she is influencing them.
ALSO, Percy bathed in the River Styx. Annabeth IS his mortal point. He CAN'T forget her at all unless he wants to die. Jason didn't do that so maybe that's why he didn't remember Reyna.
5. Piper glorifies Jason. She thinks he's perfect. Let's look at Percy and Annabeth. Does Annabeth think that Percy is perfect? No. But he's her seaweed brain. Piper, on the other hand, can only see Jason's glory.
6. If you people are thinking that Piper and Jason have to be together to unite the two camps, then you're WRONG! That wouldn't be true love, now would it?
7. JASPER is sooooo cliché. C'mon, the strong and powerful hero with the beautiful yet dangerous heroine? Sooooo cliché. Let's see how many stories have this couple. Clary and Jace from the Mortal Instruments. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Carter Kane and Zia Rashid. Sadie Kane and Walt/Anubis. Percy/Annabeth. Arwin/Aragon and Faramir/Ewoyn from The Lord of the Rings. Annie/Tom from The Horse Whisperer. Katniss/Gale/Peeta from The Hunger Games. Ron/Hermione. Hugo/Isabel from The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Lindsey/Talon from Downsiders.Sally/Jim/Fredrick from Ruby in the Smoke. Leslie/Jesse from Bridge to Terabithia. Trixie/Jim from Trixie Beldon. Jonathan/Jessica from Midnighters. Rob/Sistine from The Tiger Rising. Ben/Sal fromWalk Two Moons. Mark/Megaan/Leeta from Transall Saga. Meg/Calvin from A Wrinkle in Time. Kira/Jonas/Matty from The Giver/Messenger/Gathering Blue. Spaz/Lavina from The Last Book in the Universe. And don't even get me started on Twilight pairings.Wow, that's a long list, and these are all from the top of my head. I can probably go on and on and on… Honestly, it's getting OLD. We Jayna fans want something fresh and new.
8. Jayna is better because Reyna is the strict one that can have fun and Jason is the kind one that can be serious.
9. Piper and Jason seem a little thrown together, ya know? Like, Piper's memories of Jason's were fake, and Jason didn't really even know Piper but he began to develop feelings for her in a day. It just seems so unnatural. Other couples didn't develop feelings for each other that quickly. Percy and Annabeth obviously didn't. There is “love at first sight” but coming from both people just isn’t natural.
Some of you guys also argue that Jason would've never fallen in love with Piper if he was already in love with Reyna. But he hasn't fallen in love with Piper yet. He just really likes her. Here are our theories as to how he fell in love with Piper and why he shouldn't pick her:
Piper's a daughter of Aphrodite and obviously beautiful. It would be pretty hard not to have a crush on her, wouldn't it? And like I said before, Piper's mother is Aphrodite and could be influencing them. Why? Because Aphrodite can be nice and kind BUT she can also be vain and self-centered. She also sometimes makes fake love happen like with Helen and Paris just because, "they looked so cute together!"
Greeks Drool – Romans Rule on FanFiction had a theory about Piper's color-changing eyes, and I LOVE IT! Jason lost his memory right? SO let's say he's trying to subconsciously remember Reyna, but he can't because his memory got wiped away. So whenever he looks at Piper, who's a daughter of APHRODITE, (who can change her appearance to show who you like or love) he sees eyes that change color because he can't remember the color of Reyna's eyes. After all, Leo doesn't mention anything about Piper's eyes changing color and neither does Piper. It's only Jason. Suspicious, eh…?
I have a million more reasons about why Reyna and Jayna are better than Piper and Jasper. Feel free to debate with me. But please THINK before you type something. Some Jasper fans are actually reasonable and give me valid reasons. Other Jasper fans are like, “Reyna’s a bitch. End of story.” And trust me, that isn't a valid reason.
