I've updated the entry as much as I was able to verify. Do you have a cover image for it? I was able to find one on Amazon but that seems to be a picture someone took of the book.

The cover art is different and the publisher differs as well. Mine is published by SIGNET, their number Y5828. Mine is a March 1974 first printing of Doubleday & Company, Inc. 1972 edition.
The cover shows balding older man seated with young boy standing, leaning against the chair. (Very dark colors) Lettering is white.
I hope this helps identify the proper edition.
