The girls get taken to their "grandparents" and they treat the girls like their slaves. They threaten to feed them to the dogs, they take their birthday presents that they get from their dads wife and they pawn them for money, they hit them, they didn't even know that the girls ran away. And Now they have to go to court to try and get full custody so that the girls will be in a better environment. And then the girls step mom (Amanda) tries to say that God has turned on her

Oh sounds like another good book...I thought I had read this one, but there must be several in the Covenanat Child series???
Looking for good questions or suggested themes from this book for my bookclub. Its a mixed group of believers/nonbelievers. Any suggestions?
