The book "Timeline," by Michael Crichton sounds very similar to the book you're looking for. It's probably not the same because it doesn't contain Stonehenge as far as a I know. Maybe it can spark some more memories though!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline...
Harry Harrison was right, anyway. It's his short story "The Secret of Stonehenge", which you can find in either of these collections: Stainless Steel Visions or Prime Number

Years ago I read a book about a scientist who was researching Stonehenge, He built a camera to travel into the past to take pictures of exactly why it was built. The paradox is/was, Stonehenge was built because they saw the camera! I thought it might be Harry Harrison's Technicolor Time Machine, but it isn't. Can anyone help?
