I've been watching through The X Factor on YouTube. It's super addicting. The order the videos are posted in is really dumb though.

Agreed.
My Grandma loves it. She says I should audition, but I'm a little hesitant to...

I think it'd be a good experience. Unless you're not good under pressure...or you just suck at singing (such as me).
My friends and I are going to audition for one of those shows sometime, just for kicks. I think if you're okay with criticism, you should go for it. If you don't get on, you'll just be in the same place you were before.

Exactly. I think that, if I do enter, I'll be going mainly for criticism on my vocal performance, not to try and get on the show. And, if I do get on the show, that would be pretty cool.

John Barrowman sings?? WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS?

You want bass? Listen to Primus' songs.

YES. I was just listening to that. :D

I have this song on one of my playlists! It's awesome!
I'm listening to classical... mostly Beethoven, Mozart, etc.

Gives you Hell by AAR
Lonely Boy by Black Keys
But right now-
Sprawl 2: Mountains Beyond Mountains by Arcade Fire

Cool, that's one of the best tracks from The Suburbs.

Windsor Airlift- Caterpillar Voyage
Aaah, Windsor Airlift has a newish album I haven't heard and it's gorgeous.

What's your favorite song on it? (Assuming you got the album and not the song)

I like State of Grace, Stay Stay Stay, and Everything Has Changed.
(It fluctuates depending on my mood. xD)

I know! But I like them all, but this one is just awesome... I never get tired of it

Eddie Redmayne - Empty Chairs At Empty Tables
Owwwwwww.
Owwwwwww.

I just appreciate different musical elements of her songs than you do, perhaps.
@Maxy
LUVVVVV THAT SONG!

Me too, Taylor. Eddie Redmayne does a fabulous job. The way he almost whimpers "and I can hear them now" is, I have to say, even more touching than Michael Ball belting it.
and it's throwing me off because the version on youtube is in the original key which i love but i also love the key eddie sings in during the movie whaaat
It actually doesn't bother me too much. The original is in A minor and ends in C# minor, which is one of my favorites. They change it to Bb and D minor a lot, though, because most of the tenors playing Marius have a hard time with the low A. And I just love Bb minor, so either way it sounds pretty.

And I know the key. I have perfect pitch too, remember? :D
Aaah. I misunderstood.
Sorry. Any time I have an excuse to ramble about this kind of stuff, I will. I was less saying it to inform you and more saying it just to get the thought out there. Hehe.

I don't like all Suburbs tracks but Funeral is certainly more consistently great :)

I adore The Piano Guys. And yeah, Steve does get a lot of attention, but I think that's okay. I like both of them.

^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^^^^
Which one are you listening to?"
I was listening my brother playing Cello Wars - not one of my favorites but quite amusing :D. My favorite, though, is the one they did about Pachelbel Cannon.
Aah, I love them so much. Their version of A Thousand Years is so gorgeous. You should check it out.

(Admittedly, I'mma learn the piano part for What Makes You Beautiful and sing it to a girl one day)
Holden wrote: "Oh, and Peponi. BASICALLY ALL OF THEM, OKAY? xD"
PEPONI IS THE BEST. Jon Schmidt + Steven Sharp Nelson + Alex Boye + a Coldplay song = automatic awesome.

For choir this semester we're doing an arrangement of Simple Gifts, but the words are different. It's called Lord of the Dance and it's so gorgeous. And we're also singing a song based on an Emily Dickinson poem. And we're FINALLY singing a song in a minor key. Anyways, that was a tangent. But I'm excited.
