I personally love the feel of real books, having said that I have a kindle. I dont feel readers should have to choose or be looked down upon for their choice, I mean really we read for the stories don't we? to lose ours selves in another world, not for the thing we hold between our hands.
I love my Kindle (whose name is Odin), there are a lot of great books not available in paper back that I would never have been able to read if it weren't for Odin.
My physical book collection still continues to grow as well, so I don't have that feeling were I have to chose I never notice the book or kindle in my hands when I read.
although I feel I need to add I cant read on anything with a back light (laptop, Ipad) it hurts my eyes like hell

BOTH... I have an e-reader which I use most of the time and sometimes when there is a certain book I'd rather read from paper than from an electronic I go borrow it. so i am both
definitely BOOKS! nothing can beat books for me. books are very handy, you can bring it anywhere, besides, books are more "eye friendly."
They have some ereaders with e-ink tech so that it won't hurt your eyes.@Caity1616 That's how I was at first before I bought an actual ereader. I wouldn't buy print books, but I'd spend my life at the library ordering and checking them out. My ereader changed all my reading habits where I was reading maybe 2-3 books a month I'm reading 2-3 books a week!!!! And I absolutely love it (: Eventhough I'll read for 5-6+ hours straight then I can't see right because I haven't eaten or slept!!! Haha
I have an Amazon Kindle, and i prefer real books. The kingle IS very comfortable and light - it's not like reading from the computer screen. The reasons i prefer real books are that first - I can't take the Kindle it to school or to the beach, park etc... because i'm afraid it will get cracked or even stolen. Second, I have to buy every book i want to read - I can't borrow from a library or from a friend. The eReader isn't really replacing the paperbacks for me..
I agree with you that for me a Kindle will never replace a real book, and the issue of taking it places is a major part of it, but I can actually borrow Kindle books from the library. You might want to look into that periodically, because more and more public libraries are getting Kindle books for loan. It's not a great selection, but if you're at home and need a book, it's better than nothing. That being said, books are way better.
I have a kindle fire and i still read actual books made of paper.I love it to death and am eternally grateful for it but I think I might be leaning towards books. with my kindle I can read my books and listen to music at the same time. or if I dont understand a word I dont have to go to the trouble of going to dictionary.com or grabbing an actual dictionary.ButI am so used to having to turn a page and holding it. so BOOKS!!

Either for me. With the kindle I can take numerous books anywhere without having a really heavy purse. But... There's some books that are better in actual book form.
I don't hate real books, I just prefer Ebooks on my kindle. The reason for this is that I live in Australia and there is not as much books that I like to read in my distance and shipping is expensive. So I get Ebooks, all my Ebooks I get for free from my computer.
I personally like seeing the book in front of me I love getting a new book and being able to read it for the first time. Really Corny Right!Plus I hate it when people always ask you what you are reading every time you read on. Ugh I'm just trying to read I mean really.
(Excuse my bad punctuation)

Plus most eBooks cost more than the actual thing
I like putting the books on my kindle because it is easier for me to take to school and wherever I go. I have all my books in one place.
I don't mind ither of them, but books are always nice to be able to feel and smell good. Nooks and Kindles take up less space and have a much cleaner feeling about their organization.
i like ebooks becuase books can't get ruined easily but i love to have an old faishoned book in my hands and having bookshelves full as well
i like books because ereaders are good for home but i dont want to bring one to school and worry about breaking or someone stealing a $200 ereader regular books are easier when your at school though
E-readers (in my case kindle and nook apps on various devices) because...1) I have poor eyesight and I can easily adjust fonts and screen brightness to suit my needs
2) I love books but always hated dusting bookshelves
3) I can read across devices
4) I love the built in interactive features such as the dictionary
5) I can read more discreetly
6) I can carry multiple books around with me very easily. I can carry an entire library around with me, actually.
So interesting to see all of these different P.O.V.s! How many of you have tried audio books? How do they compare to your paper and e-books?

real book=you can read it at home, especially thick book, i only read at home, but ebook, you can carry it eveywhere in your notebook or phonesell
Re ebooks being more eco-friendly:Don't forget that ereaders require manufacturing and shipping, just like physical books, and that ereaders have a considerably shorter life than do physical books and require a more complicated method of disposal. Also, ereaders (and devices that can be used to read ebooks) require electricity, the production of which is not necessarily environmentally friendly. Relying on used bookstores and libraries is also a rather environmentally friendly option. Really, it depends on who you are and your reading style. There's more to the environment than trees, after all.
I have a kindle and I LOVE it! I can keep all my books in one place and it's more convinient for me and I can look back on my old books anytime I want. I like the kindle much more than nooks because the screen of a nook is like a screen of an ipad or computer (way too bright). Kindle's screens actually look like a book pages. I don't think that kindles will ever replace books however, because most people still prefer books over kindles/e-readers. That's just my opinion :)
@Lovegood_13: What Nook were you looking at? My mother has a Nook Simple Touch, which uses an e-ink screen, just like my third-generation Kindle does. The Nook tablets have screens like an iPad, but they also have a lot more capabilities than just reading e-books. The Kindle Fire is Amazon's tablet, which has a screen like an iPad as well.
I have a ereader and I love or but that doesn't mean I don't read actual books I still do....like the best of both worlds
Books!!!! There's nothing better than the feel and smell of a new book! ( is that weird?) :)
I love both but it's so much easier to browse from a kindle app, and there's always loads of good offers on!
An e-book is a real book guys. A real book is not defined by its look. An e-book is just as real as a book book. It's just a different format. A story is a story no matter what it is read on. If the original story is there then that's what matters.
I love both though! :) :D Just saying!
My favorite YA couple currently is Clace from TMI in the first 3 books. But my favorite couple of all time is Jules and Evan (Jevan) or (Eules?). Never before have I been so invested in a couple as I have been with them. Luke and Laney from laney's kiss come close in third place :)
Whoopsters! Wrong forum! The comment above was meant for the favorite couples tag :) *grins sheepishly*
Prefer the physical copy of a book to read and collect. Even browsing them on the shelf has been more enjoyable, and I'm more likely to pick up a book at random to read. Have a kindle, and it is nice for travel. As long as I don't have to worry about finding an outlet to plug it in. Also, helps cut down on textbook cost and weight.
One is just more tactile than the other, and it does make a difference.
I enjoy reading from a real book and ereader. A ereader doesn't get damage that easily and it's good thing to use for travel. A real book is great because you get to read it at home without worrying about someone stealing the book that you are currently reading.
reading books got its own essence.its jst the way u cant think of a replacement.Agreed ebooks are really helpful and always in reach but when it comes to real time reading I always go with books, not ebooks.
I have a Kindle, and it's so awesome but... I think I will always like the feeling of turning a page and sometimes that musty old smell that comes with real books.
I said I'd never do it, but I did. I converted to an eReader and never looked back!! (Except when it's not available in ebook form and I check it out from the library. I originally bought a Nook because you couldn't check out ebooks from the library for Kindle, which you now can. My Nook is e-ink and there is no screen problem for my eyes. Although, I've heard that the technology for the LCD screens is so advanced now, that they don't cause any problems for your eyes. So...I'd really like to get a Kindle Fire. It's so much easier to search genres on Amazon and the list of Free books is amazing!
I prefer books, however I do own a Kindle, which is nice because books are so expensive. also, when I go on a trip I can't carry as many books as I read.
This link shows you exactly how I feel because I don't want to type it here http://youtu.be/2YZr1aGvB9o
