Definitely THE EXORCIST by William Peter Blatty. Chilling.
It would be between, Stephen kings IT, clowns ahhh, I didn't want to pee or shower, or go anywhere near a sink after reading that one and the excorist. Also I have read many a graham masterton and he writes some pretty scary shit.
put me down for hell house and the exorcist as well. i couldn't be home alone for ages after both.
The Exorcist movie is still terrifying to me. It has nothing on the book because my brain doesn't have an effects budget.
