Piper or Reyna ? Who should Jason choose?
That was quite funny abt the yumyum part.:) & I couldn't have said it more better than u did.
Yep totally team Reyna! I also like the idea of a new person though, but were could they fit in the story. I mean they already have the seven and Reyna will most likely leading the Greek and Roman forces into any other battles and I think that a new girl is kinda below Jason. I mean he wasn't attracted to all these random girls like, no offence, Leo. Jason the kinda guy who gets to know the girl and she hast to have some one with skills but i guess Rick Riordan did fit Rachel in there some where and for about ten chapters almost had me convinced there would be no Percabbeth so you never know. I am just scared that he will kill of Reyna because then all Piper hast to do is be there for him and she's in. yeah sadly the odds are in her favor (P.s. love the hunger games books and may the odds forever be in your favor.). And Sonia i hope you know by now that that would not work if you have read far enough in the Throne of Fire. Wow this chats gotten a lot longer since the last time i checked i gotta get on here more!

Yes, people who agree with me! xDI think Reyna is a really cool character, and I would really love to see more of her. She's probably had a pretty tragic past (with the whole split from Hylla and Blackbeard's takeover of her island and her experiences with Circe). I personally think she's a better character than Piper, because Reyna is more self-dependent, she values her people (the legionnaires of Camp Jupiter) before herself, and it doesn't hurt that she's probably a fantastic fighter (being a daughter of Bellona). Plus, Piper is a character who whines a lot (always feeling self-pity for the fact that she has to have a famous dad, for the fact that her memories were faked, etc.). Having a famous father isn't that bad...do you guys wonder how she would have coped if her father had been poor and in Sally's situation? Miss "Beauty-Queen" would spend 24/7 whining and feeling sorry for herself. And yes, I admit that it must hurt a lot to have memories faked about a potential boyfriend, but look at it from Reyna's point of view. Juno practically stole her best friend and almost-boyfriend just when things were starting to get calmer (right after TLO) and just when she had a chance to get closer to Jason. Which of those two is more frustrating?

That's not really true; Piper has as many guys open to her as Reyna does, if not more. They're just not close friends yet. Does Reyna have that many free guy friends? It doesn't really seem like it.

I support Reyna ALL THE WAY!!!! I, unlike others, actually have reasons, though. First of all, let me start off by telling you why I like Reyna better than Piper.
Reyna is:
-Kickass (C’mon, she’s the daughter of the goddess of war and can DEFINITELY fight. After all, Percy did see her “flying into battle” when Camp Jupiter was attacked)
-Deathly loyal to her camp (She would do anything to save the camp, even let Percy be praetor)
-Stoic (She tries not to show emotion, even when tortured)
-Not unlike Annabeth (Reyna and Annabeth are both smart, kick-ass, and loyal, although, in my opinion, Annabeth has a worse temper and acts like an Ice Queen sometimes)
-Strong (I mean, she ran Camp Jupiter for pretty much a year while looking for Jason while fighting off monsters while fighting off Octavian.)
-A leader (You cannot deny that she’s worthy of being praetor.)
Now, I’m going to justify Reyna’s “faults.”
You Reyna haters and Jasper/Piper supporters say:
-Reyna is possessive (REYNA is possessive???? You’re kidding me. Piper CLAIMED Jason. If that’s not possessive, I don’t know what is.)
-Reyna is too strict and doesn’t have a personality (Yes, maybe that’s BECAUSE she’s a ROMAN???? If your favorite Greek camper was Roman, they would be strict, too. And, don’t say that Jason isn’t strict. Trust me, he is. He’s just in a Greek environment and reacts differently to his surroundings. And Reyna does have a personality. She’s just a secondary character and we don’t see much of her.)
-She “flirted” with Percy (This annoyed me at first, too. But then, I realized that it was BECAUSE SHE WAS DESPERATE!!! Her camp was about to be attacked by monsters, Gaea was awakening, and Octavian was pressuring her to hold praetor elections!!!! She wasn’t actually flirting with him. She just put the offer out there just to make it a little more tempting. NOW THAT’s, something to admire. She was willing to give up her happiness and love life to save her camp. You go, girl!)
-Reyna’s breaking up Jasper (Uh, no. There is no Jasper. Not yet. So, she’s not “breaking up” any couple. Most of you like Piper better because you’ve seen a lot of her and she was introduced to you first. So, you think that Reyna is Rachel and Piper and Jason are Annabeth and Percy. WRONG!!! It’s the other way around.)
I have about a million more reasons (exaggerating) that I could tell you. Unfortunately, I need to get onto other topics. Now, time for why I don’t like Piper. SHE’S A MARY-SUE. A Mary Sue is a character too perfect to be real. Let’s explore why she’s a Mary-Sue.
1. She's gorgeous.
2. She's a daughter of Aphrodite but isn't shallow.
3. She's a daughter of Aphrodite but can fight.
4. She's one of the seven in the prophecy.
5. She can pretty much control people with her words. (That's a pretty epic power, isn't it?)
6. She overthrew Drew for the leadership of the cabin.
7. She's kind/nice/whatever.
8. She CHARMSPEAKED Jason BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!! C'mon, people!!!!! Even HERA couldn't do that. My Mary-Sue bells are ringing.
9. She's popular and has an amazing best friend. (Leo.)
10. Apparently, her mom is the daughter of Uranus so that makes her mom's symbol (love) more powerful, therefore, making Piper more powerful.
The only reason she's not a complete Mary-Sue yet is because she doesn't have Jason yet and she also whines so much. If she stops her whining problem (which isn’t really hard because it mainly centers around Jason) and doesn't get Jason, she won’t be a Mary-Sue. But if she does get Jason, she'll have an amazing boyfriend and will be a perfect Mary-Sue. Of course, she has those "flaws" like, she's insecure, etc. but they don't really count. Most Mary-Sues believe that they're not as perfect as they really are.
Reyna isn’t a Mary-Sue because, she has flaws. She's not popular, she's strict, she's not gorgeous, etc. So, basically Reyna's ACTUALLY HUMAN! (Half-human)
Why I don’t support Jasper and support Jayna:
1. You've heard in the Son of Neptune about how Reyna frantically searched for Jason. Yes, she didn’t go all-out like Annabeth but that was because she was actually THE leader (Lupa doesn’t interfere much) of Camp Jupiter. Annabeth could search for Percy because Chiron was there to take over. Also, since Percy was put into a deep sleep, Camp Jupiter had to wait for 8 months before they had ANY clue about what happened to Jason. Annabeth only had to wait four days before she found the boy with one shoe. Do you want Reyna’s heart to break because Jason chose Piper? I've read the fanfics about Jason choosing Piper and they broke my heart.
2. Reyna's known Jason for four years. Piper's known Jason for about 8 months. Plus, how much does Piper really know about Jason?
3. Venus/Aphrodite could be influencing Piper and Jason. Do you really think that Aphrodite would favor Reyna over her own daughter? That's not true love.
4. Also, for those who say, "Oh, Jason didn't remember Reyna like Percy remembered Annabeth." Oh really? What if Aphrodite made it like that? What if Juno couldn't wipe away Percy's memories but that was because Aphrodite was favoring him? Huh? So you can't say that Reyna meant little to Jason if he remembered part of her after his quest. You say that Jason and Reyna weren’t together and that is true but if Reyna meant little to Jason, WHY would he be guilty about what he was doing with Piper???? Also, Aphrodite could actually be influencing them because in TLH, you ONLY saw the kinder side to her. You forgot that she can be shallow. And also, in the books, Aphrodite says that she doesn't force them to do something they don't want to do, she just gives them "a little push." Mmmm-hmmm. Sure, hon. What about Helen and Paris? Aphrodite MADE Helen fall in love with Paris. THAT is fake love. Why did she do that? Because they “looked so cute together.” Therefore, there is a possibility that she is influencing them.
ALSO, Percy bathed in the River Styx. Annabeth IS his mortal point. He CAN’T forget her at all unless he wants to die. Jason didn’t do that so maybe that’s why he didn’t remember Reyna.
5. Next up, Reyna and Jason are so PERFECT for each other. Why? Because Piper glorifies Jason. She thinks he's perfect. Let's look at Percy and Annabeth. Does Annabeth think that Percy is perfect? No. But he's her seaweed brain. Piper, on the other hand, can only see Jason’s glory. Reyna sees everything about him clearly.
6. If you people are thinking that Piper and Jason have to be together to unite the two camps, then you're WRONG! That wouldn't be true love, now would it?
I have a million more reasons about why Reyna and Jayna are better than Piper and Jasper. Feel free to debate with me. I still have inner fire that I could use as fuel for the debate. But please THINK before you type something.

Did you read my post about how Percy CAN'T forget Annabeth or he'll die since she's HIS MORTAL POINT. Because he dipped into the River Styx, he had to focus on a link to the mortal world, which was Annabeth. Since Jason didn't dip into the River Styx, he doesn't have a mortal point. Plus, Aphrodite could've let Percy keep the memory of Annabeth and not let Jason keep the memory of Reyna because of Piper.

@SofiaHera had a purpose in letting Percy remember Annabeth. As Reneered pointed out, it was because of the whole curse-of-Achilles thing - Annabeth was Percy's mortal, point, etc. But other than that? Percy remembered pretty much nothing about Camp Half-Blood.
The one thing Jason remembered about his old life was the presence of Thalia, his sister. Hera's purpose in allowing Jason to remember her was because she knew that later on in his quest, he would find her and she would be able to help him; in order for that to happen, Jason needed to have a faint recollection of Thalia. In a way, even though Jason didn't bathe in the Styx, Thalia was the person that saved him, much like how Annabeth saves Percy.
If Jason had remembered Reyna, it wouldn't have been much help. Hera didn't think he needed to have a memory of her, since it wouldn't affect him on the quest.
So, yeah. Another explanation if any Jasper shippers are arguing about the depth of Reyna and Jason's relationship.

See, when I read books, I tend to automatically make rash decisions that the female character is my favorite, but then if I think it over, she seems to get more annoying as the series progresses, so I can't really say anything about Reyna or Piper.

I like Reyna a lot more. She's so strong after leading the camp for a long time, and she and Jason have known each other longer and been through more together (The war)

Piper. It literally broke my heart when Jason remembers Reyna and put Piper off to the side. Though I do have a feeling that Reyna will do anything to get Jason

For the LAST TIME, Reyna DOES not have any feelings for Percy. Octavian was bugging her, Jason was gone, there was about to be an attack, and her camp was falling apart. She NEEDED Percy to be the praetor. She doesn't really have feelings for him. She just put that out there as an extra offer to tempt him more. And it wasn't exactly a, "I like you" thing. It was more, "I can be a friend. Whatever type of friend you want as long as you help me save this camp." THAT is another reason why I admire Reyna. She was ready to give up her love life to save her camp.
And as for Piper never doing what Reyna did, MAYBE that's because she doesn't feel extreme loyalty to her camp. Plus, Reyna would NEVER flirt with Percy. She doesn't have feelings for a random hot and powerful guy who destroyed her previous home. She's not a daughter of VENUS.

From what we have seen of Reyna, she's very level-headed, very diplomatic, and willing to do anything for the good of her Camp and people. She's not one for arguing over petty conflicts like Piper (eg, the whole Drew drama). Currently, both Camps are in a very serious state - a time of war against Gaea. Reyna realizes the severity of the situation, and she knows that now is not the time for discord between the two camps. Reyna isn't going to displease the Greeks and Piper by arguing over Jason. She'll focus on the war first, not on a boy she once loved.

Reyna/Jason is the more realistic couple, first of all. They knew each other for FOUR YEARS. How long have Jason and Piper known each other? Just a few MONTHS of fake memories, and then in reality, only around EIGHT MONTHS as of SoN. Also, the only thing Jason notices about Piper is, "OMG how hot is she i think i'm in love with her because of her GORGEOUS kaleidoscope eyes and totally awesome chocolate-colored hair and yumyumyum." And Piper's thoughts of Jason are purely admiration of his good looks.
A true relationship isn't based on physical/sexual attraction, which is obviously the case between Piper and Jason. On the other hand, the fact that Jason and Reyna have known each other for such a long time, plus how Reyna and Jason are kind of like coworkers adds further substance to the relationship.
So yeah, Reyna FTW.
