I actually started
last night and I'm only 72 pages in and I already like it better than the first book, so that's a good sign as I was ready to give up on the whole series after not being impressed by
Yep they keep getting better and better. Some people think there is a misstep or two in the series but I've never read one that I considered giving up on. And yes next March can't get here fast enough. CANNOT wait for Qhuinn and Blay's book.
I wasn't completely impressed with the first book either, but I'm so glad I kept reading. There are a couple later in the series I wasn't so into (#6 and #9 specifically), but
, the newest one, was awesome again!

@Carrie That's what I hear:D@Sharon the only reason I considered giving up on it was because I really hated Wrath and Beth, I liked the writing style because it was easy to follow but I didn't know if I wanted to continue if all the characters were that annoying, but Rhage and Mary aren't bad so far.
@Sheri so #6 and #9 aren't too good, okay. I already have 7 & 8 so that's good to know.
Just finished the final book in the "Tawny Man" series by Robin Hobb titled "The Fool's Fate". Such an amazing read, my heart was full to bursting up until the very last letter.

Thanks! I'll be sure to post after I read it. I've always loved Greek mythology though.

I love the cover of that book, lol. That is a *wicked* braid!
I finished reading
by Nicholas Sparks a few hours ago. The book was a bit of a disappointment really. I've read most of Spark's books and I think I'm too used to his writing style. I found the plot of the story to be extremely predictable and slightly unrealistic. But if you've never read a Nicholas Spark novel before, you'd probably like it. Now I'm about to start reading
by John Grisham. It's the october monthly read in a Goodreads group I'm in and I want to get a head start on it.
Reckon I'll jump in right here...:DJust read Flight of the Nighthawks (
) by Raymond E. Feist. My god, I've been readin' this guy since I was, like, freakin' twelve...just gotta love his multiverse! Well, I do at least. :DThis is my first foray into any of his books after the whole Demon King saga (Rage of a Demon King and all that rot, and I still have yet to read the fourth book in that series), and it's good to see the Conclave of Shadows being more than just a "let's fluff Pug's ego" kinda group.
Admittedly though, I highly expect Feist to go to pure Moorcockian levels of absurd Higher Magics before the end of that entire series run.
I'm currently reading Archon (
) by Sabrina Benulis, mainly 'cuz I started reading it, forgot I was reading it, and want to finish the damn thing. It's meh...lots of "the real way angels/demons are" and other nonsuch.EDIT: I just learned how to add bookcover images. :D
I'm currently enjoying the company of Father Time in The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom and also because of this book I haven't started yet reading the short story An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce but I plan on reading the short story too. :D

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who didn't care for it! Everyone I talk to thinks I'm weird for not liking it, lol! You'll have to tell me if you like Cinder! I've been wanting to read that book for awhile.
