I'm starting the third book of this series as soon as it comes in at the library. It took me about halfway through Uglies to get into the series. Halfway through the book soooo many action scenes start happening and it is a lot more interesting. The author's writing is kind of strange especially in the second book where he makes up a new language. It's kind of annoying at first, but I personally was able to overlook that because I liked the plot and the characters so much.

Yes, I noticed that there was more action starting at that point. But I still didn't feel it as much as I would have liked. Perhaps I will like the next book better? I have it on hold at my library. So I will read it and see if I want to continue with the series.

I quite enjoyed Garden Spells, It's a bit ligther going then Practical Magic. Worth a read, it's an easy one too, just flows.

I really enjoyed the Blue Bloods, so far I've read up to book four - The Van Alen Legacy, I was really surprised by The Iron King, I thought it would be samey and boring, but I actually really enjoyed and am ordering the sequels! hope you enjoy it too.

I got all hyped by the movie and the fact that it's a book -turned - movie. But then I read some reviews and it seems instead of a spooky ghost story it is just a ghost story :(

k finished it. really short story (160 pgs) I really liked it after all. it had a good, gripping story. it wasn't so much spooky as creepy. I am glad I bought this book.

I really liked it, but at the same time I wanted to bitch slap Valerie for her selfishness, but by the end of the book she grew on me and I liked her. Plus I'm glad there's a realistic fiction book that touches base on a school shooting instead of drugs, sex, etc. because sometimes it gets tiring and repetitive.
