I think the end stunded us all. so much so that we can't remember the rest of the book...

Katniss is in Distrest 13... and that realy all i can remeber till Petta is brought back and trys to kill Katniss. then its blank till they g2 the capital.

hmmm, let's see here...it starts out w/ katniss sifting through the rubble in district 12- she finds a rose that snow left for her and the cat buttercup, who she takes back to district 13 for prim. she's still really upset about the capitol having peeta. she has some mental confusion b/c of the concussion she got at the end of the last book. the leaders of the rebellion (coin, plutarch, etc.) are trying to talk her into embracing the role of the mockingjay, and she doesn't really want to.

she eventually decides to agree, on the conditions that the tributes the capitol captured are guaranteed immunity, she gets to keep the cat, she and gale get to hunt, and she gets to flip coin for the chance to kill snow.

so, they bring out all the designs cinna made before he died, and start making over the mockingjay. they have her old stylists work on her (and actually had them tied up for stealing bread- so they're all cowed and pathetic), and then they send her out in the field. she goes to district 8 first, visits people in the hospital, inspires them, and then the capitol bombs the hospital. gale and katniss shoot down a few planes. she goes to district 2 next, the last one that hasn't come over to the rebels' side.

wait, somewhere in there the capitol airs a broadcast of snow w/ peeta (who looks terrible) and peeta manages to warn district 13 that the capitol's gonna bomb them. peeta gets beaten before the broadcast is cut off, and 13 goes underground and survives the bombing.

katniss is so devastated by this that she's unable to perform her duties, so they decide to go rescue peeta and the other tributes. they come back w/ him, annie for finnick, johanna, and that other girl, barbaria or something like that. turns out peeta's been "hijacked," driven insane by tracker jacker venom, and he tries to choke katniss to death. they slowly try to rehabilitate him.

that's all I have time for right now. maybe someone else can pick it up there or I will later.
