Book to read in November: The Four Desires?

Meryl, count me in! I would enjoy reading another book together! As for a preference, I would be interested in The Four Desires as a first choice. However, I have never read Living Your Yoga, either.I never got a chance to look at Stryker's book yet, but it is certainly getting excellent reviews.
We'll see what everyone else would like. I am flexible either way. These are great choices.
Namaste!

I started "Living Your Yoga", loved it, and it's sitting here on my shelf. I'd love a good kick in the rear to finish it :).

Sure, I'll read anything I haven't read before!
Hi Meryl--I have read the Four Desires by Stryker--it was a wonderful experience, rather than just reading a book. There are lots of exercises he wants you to complete, writings, and of course meditations. It is more of a process to define what you want in a broad sense, your dharma, as well as what your want in a more immediate time frame, up to 18 mos. He walks you through the steps. Great read, but I think this is such an individual journey...and would take longer to discuss, because everyone would have to work through the process, and then discuss how they felt. But I'm game for anything! I loved this discussion, and eagerly awaited all the new posts, comments, laughs...

So happy many of you decided to join our ongoing book discussion of Yoga Bitch. I'm thoroughly enjoying the conversation, and really loved the book.
Is there interest in reading another book together in November? If so, would you want something equally light or something more serious?
If the latter, I'm intrigued by Rod Stryker's new book, The Four Desires, which is about living your yoga in your everyday life. I read the sample on Nook and it seems both very useful and highly readable. Or, in the same vein, we could read (or re-read, for many) the off-the-mat classic, Judith Lasater's Living Your Yoga.
Please chime in as to whether you want to read another book collectively in November and whether you have a preference for a book.
Namaste!
