Peeta's Hijacking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that was horrible worst part of the book!EVER*
I would change all of the third book. I feel Mockingjay ruined the whole trilogy for me. That is just my opinion on it.
I'd changed most of Mockingjay. It needs serious expansion; most everything in the book is tell instead of show and it all needs to be fleshed out. I'd give poor Katniss back her backbone, as well.
katniss would fall in love with gale!!!
I hated when Prim died, she didn't get a proper death scene. I really wanted to cry and feel very sad for Prim, but I didn't feel *that* sad when she died, which bothered me.
Ughhh okay either Prim's death or Finnicks and i would change when Spoiler!! they asked all of them if they wanted to have another hunger games i would have had them say no not yes i felt that for katniss to say yes it ruined the whole point

Prim, Finnick, and Cinna shouldn't have died. Gale should've had a happier ending, which he would've if Prim didn't die. I also think that Katniss should be happier (which she would be if Prim, Finnick, and Cinna didn't die) and not be so mentally unstable. I understand she's scarred, she should be, but she should be a little more...accepting of her life, I guess, or more so embrace it. She's free, and she should be happier about it.
If I could I would probably want a little more detail in Finnick and Cinna's deaths. And a bit more info on what exactly happened to Gale. But I think the ending, although really sad, was good because anyone put in that situation can't ever really come back sane.

Katniss didn't want another Hunger Game, it was just a trick to see if Coin really was as evil as Snow. For her it was the proof that some aspects of the revolution were just as bad as the dictature. That's why she killed her at the end: she wouldn't have if she agreed for another Game (because indeed it's everything se fought against). :)
Wishing that a character hadn't died is fine, I couldn't bear some of the deaths in Mockinjay either. But to wish a silly happy ending with everyone alive and happy, and sometimes wishing that Katniss would have ended up with Gale, is misunderstanding the whole series, its messages and life in general.
Gale is a great character and maybe you like this kind of guy in real life, but Peeta is perfect for Katniss, period.

I didn't like it either, I guess because I wanted to dream about their future together. I don't think Katniss and P..."Jennifer Lawrence is gorgeous, and more importantly, she is a wonderful actress. Maybe you imagined Katniss differently in the book (I did too), but it doesn't mean the actress didn't do a wonderful job in the movie. I would even say that the actors in movies are pretty much always more beautiful than the "regular" people they're portraying. If anything, she's more beautiful that Katniss ought to be.
Peeta should have died and Katniss should have ended up with Gale, but she was never really happy again and Finnick not dying of course.
I would remove the love triangle and write a better romance. Gale could stay, but I think he would be better off as a close friend instead of a love interest.
Ashley wrote: "I don't think Finnick should of died. He had such a rough life and he deserved a happy ending."I agree!
On another note, it's "should have".
Makayla wrote: "I give a better ending for Gale, and NOT KILL OFF FINNICK!!!! What was the point in that??"Agreed!!!!
Finnick wouldn't die. In fact, I heard that in the last movie, they are not going to make him die.But prim's death is necessary to the whole story, I wouldn't sadly change that. Otherwise, it would be a happy ever after like in a fairytale, and what I loved in the Hunger Games is that we did't actually have that.
Finnick, Prim, and Cinna should still be with us. Also, I would change Katniss's choice for another Hunger Games. That was too out of character.
I hated the ending of Mockingjay. Gale would have never left Katniss in District 12. Katniss and Gale were always meant to be together, not Peeta. Peeta's nice and all, BUT HE RUINED THE WHOLE STORY FOR ME! I was super upset about Cinna and Finnick's death, but most of all, I am devastated that Prim dies. I am not happy with this ending!
And I think that Peeta should have been assigned to a different district but still have a very happy ending and fall in love with someone else!!!!
I would say that I would change nothing, but there were too many deaths in the last book. If I had it my way, Prim, Finnick and Cinna would still be alive.

Although for Prim and Cinna I felt their deaths were necessary. Without the deaths of the characters we love, the books wouldn't have felt as real. :(
Why do You think this? Katniss truthfully isn't highly intelligent, a good actress, or a deep thinker. I think She was just emotionally broken over Her sister's death, and would do anything to get back at the People who She believed were responsible. There is also no implication that Katniss agreed to the final games for the sole purpose to kill Coin, at all. I think it was a spur of the moment choice, to shoot the greater of the two evils when the moment came.
*SPOILERS* All of the things I would change would be in Mockingjay.
I wouldn't have killed off Prim or Finnick.
I wouldn't have mad Katniss as annoying as she was in last book. (I know PTSD and I got that but I still thought she was kinda whinny)
I would have had Gale and Katniss stay friend.
I would have kept Peeta and Katniss be a bit stronger than it was (I know Peeta was brainwashed, but still...)
I think that's it...
I wasn't the biggest fan of the last book...
Valerie wrote: "I wouldn't change anything, except maybe the fact Katniss wanted another Hunger Games. :v That seemed out of character for her, and it's the only flaw in the trilogy."She didn't want one out of revenge, she voted yes to appear to be on Coin's side as the whole time she's been ignoring orders. Katniss was attempting to gain an ounce of her trust back and also it helped her in getting what she wanted, the chance to kill Snow which as we know she used as a chance to kill the other new dictator being Coin.
Harleen wrote: "i dont like the girl whos playing katniss in the movie i imagined her prettier like not to be mean but u no...."Firstly, Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful. Let's just start with that.
Secondly, why should our strong protagonist be the typical hollywood heart throb? Isn't it far more interesting to learn about her emotions and strength and resilience and fall in love with the character that way rather than give her a pretty face for girls to aspire too?

I just wanted to see a bit more of Katniss & Peeta really connecting. Maybe another kiss would have sealed it for me or something like that. Then again I also liked how it could be portraying that their love is deeper and more meaningful than just public displays of affection.

But without all these things you have a lesser threat from the Capitol and less reasons for Katniss to keep fighting? Although most of things are incredibly unpleasant and in a sense we all wish they hadn't happened, they were crucial to this story being so incredible.

AGREED WHOLEHEARTEDLY. THANK YOU! Finally someone who gets it!
i would change who died. i would have had gale die instead of prim. i would have peeta's designer die instead of Cinna. i would change the people i liked die to people i dont really like.
If I could change anything it would be that no one good dies except Gale
RIP FINNICK HE IS THE GREATEST BOOK CHARACTER EVER
