my regular teacher SUCKS LIKE NOBODYS BUSINESS this year (not my math one, my other one who is kind of all-around...) I hate him! hes not a bad guy, hes nice, but hes the suckiest teacher ive ever met (please let someone reply in a way that allows me to vent, pretty please)
ok. ahem. (btw thx ppl) wellll....... first of all he's a complete idiot. I mean, I might not exactly be at the bottom of my 16-ppl class (actually far from it) but I, at least 2 decades younger, could handle the class far better. HE doesn't know anything about anything except history, but even in that he insists on using the most imbecilic workbooks ever that teach us almost nothing that we didn't already know instead of the usual individual-teacher-developed-instead-of-completely-sent-in-from-companies teaching style at my school. He can't spell, use grammar, write legibly, or write well (ie good content) whatsoever, and he is too timid to discipline the class and lets us run fairly wild. When he should hold his ground, he doesn't, and when there is actually something better and easier to do, he refuses to acquiesce to anyone. he is too timid to give us anything actually challenging (or perhaps he simply couldn't handle the challenge himself?) but we are nevertheless loaded with homework and the like because he has randomly assumed that we have nothing to do and are just dying to do some homework, and gives us what my former teachers called "busy work"- work that accomplishes nothing but keeping a student busy and has no purpose other than torture/punishment- like doing lines under a semblance of real work. I am sure that approximately 3/4 of my class has a higher IQ than he will ever have, and he is extremely annoying. Additionally, whenever he makes a joke that is actually funny he apologizes, going "I shouldn't say that, I shouldn't say that", but when he makes one that is just plain insulting he doesn't, not out of meanness but because he doesn't even realize. He picks on certain students, he says really awkward things, like when a girl ines is right next to me, "I've noticed you seem to have a love-hate relationship with ines, olivia. you two don't get along that well, do you?" when shes standing A FOOT AWAY. He always lifts up his shirt so you can see his hairy belly and burps and perpetrates equally disgusting actions, and I am sad to say that I feel being in his company is making me much less motivated and, well, dumber. JFYI (Thats just for your information, in case you were wondering) he teaches all subjects except math, latin, greek, music, art, gym, and newspaper. also, my school is rather progressive. Ok. THATS MY VENT Y'ALL. I mean, I almost feel bad for him sometimes- almost- because he's a nice guy, just a bad teacher, and then I remember that although he's not cut out to be a teacher, he should be trying a heck of a lot harder. Ok, so that is my description and venting dissertation on the 8th grade teacher Greg T. (I know his last name but will not divulge unless I hear he leaves the school next year and someone suspects they have him, in which case I will help them check and wish them good luck (and maybe tell them how to work this teacher... :P)
