Or you could discuss some having an epiphany, the consequences of one, etc.
And it's still just an epiphany.You can replace any number of verbs with kiss and it'll make things more interesting.
Except for all of the stories are going to use them in a groan-worthy fashion. With epiphany, it forces people to do more than random dialogue, and boring archetypes. More philosophical.
hey, at least the word wasn't 'snog' that would be hard to out in a different light.

You don't have to like the 'groan-worthy' ones. There can always be the nicely written pieces that you can like that aren't romantic at all.

I agree with Joelle. Kiss is such a common word it'll be harder to take it from a surprising or original angle. Most people, like you, think romance first. With epiphany you can't really do much else than give someone...an epiphany.
