Kristy Mills I really enjoyed this book... but the ending didn't make any sense to me. Anyone have any theories?

Clementine said something about Morgan possibly trying to mess with time if he goes back knowing Ava still wanted to be with him. But I don't see how that could have happened if he never actually went back like she thought. He died... how did everything reverse itself. I thought for a second, maybe because she wanted to go back so bad that when she finally let go at the end, thats how she ended up back in her world. But that doesn't explain why she went back to where they left off in their world, or why Morgan was there. Again, he died.

I don't get it! Help!

Ellimere I thought of two ways this could have happened. The first was that Ava went on to yet another (and similarly dystopian) alternate world, where there was another Morgan waiting for her.

The other was that maybe Morgan successfully messed with time and turned it back, so they go back to the time when they were supposed to meet. Maybe he could do whatever he had to do to change time in other worlds, not just in his own.

I'm a little confused by the dying in other worlds concept, since Clementine apparently can't go back when her alternate self died, but maybe circumstances are different for Morgan since he didn't exist in the alternate world. Maybe only a shadow of him remained in the alternate world, and when he 'died' there his real self simply went back to his original world?

Also, since he seemed to be pretty good at stuff like traveling to other worlds and messing with time (only hinted, though) I won't be surprised if he found a loophole or safeguard for returning to his own world in the event that he 'died' in the alternate world.

Cristina I was so confused too! @Ellimere, I think the second thing you said happened, that's what I thought happened too. I think somehow Morgan was able to turn back the time. I wonder if there's going to be a second book to this? I hope Elizabeth Scott explains the ending to us eventually.

Kristy Mills Ugh, I hate it when things aren't explained in books. Which sucks because I really enjoyed this book. I like your explanations and ideas. I hate that we are left to try and figure it out though. I hope Scott writes a sequel too, I need explanations!!

Bree I just thought it never happened... Like it was all just a dream sequence or vision of what will happen.
