Sounds interesting, Vernon. I bought it in Kindle version. I would have loved to be your first customer in France, but it wasn't 99 cents here! I look forward to reading your work.
Thanks, Mo. At least I know someone in France bought it so I think you earned the title of first in France. Enjoy the book and I look forward to hearing from you with thoughts and critiques.
A funny post from good friend and fellow Maine author, Paige W. Pendleton.http://vernonjbaker.blogspot.com/2011...
Hello Vernon, I started reading your book in an online sample, but the 99 cent deal couldn't be beat, so I purchased it for my Kindle. Although I haven't gotten too far "in" yet, I like the premise.
Hi, Nancy. Thanks for buying the book. I hope you enjoy it and when your done please let me know your thoughts. Feedback is very important and I love hearing from readers.Vernon
Hi all. I just Finished Vernon's book yesterday. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it. Nice work, Vernon!
Thanks, Mo. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Just got to Florida, for the winter, from Maine. I'll be finishing up the followup to Slow Boat over the next three months. If you can feel free to leave a review here at Goodreads and on Amazon. Every little bit helps. :)
Hi, everyone. I'm having a fun contest on my blog. Name the fallen angel and win an e-book copy of Slow Boat To Purgatory!http://vernonjbaker.blogspot.com/2011...
Good morning and Happy New Year. I thought some of you might be interested to know that my novel Slow Boat To Purgatory is now free, for a limited time, on Amazon around the world including Amazon.fr. Now's the time to climb aboard the Slow Boat!
I'm finally getting to read Slow Boat to Purgatory. Just wanted to let you know I'm enjoying it thus far and will give more feedback when I'm done.
bonjour vernon! nice to meet a fellow author. i too have work available on amazon.fr though i'm not promoting it. (my book is set in hollywood; i now live in the hills above LA but i've spent a lot of time living in paris, where le mari still spends a lot of his work life.) best of luck with your book - it sounds very interesting.
For those who haven't climbed aboard the Slow Boat To Purgatory now's your chance to do so for free!http://vernonjbaker.blogspot.com/2012...

The Novel's main character is a French, Templar Knight by the name of Gaspar De Rouse. Without giving too much away it does have several scenes set in France as well as Venice, Zurich and Maine, U.S.A.
I would love to converse with any of the group members about the book or anything else for that matter.I have included links to the Amazon.com listing where the book has been receiving some nice reviews also the link to the Amazon.fr store. I haven't sold a copy in France yet. I would love for someone here to be the first. :)
I recently put the book on sale for a limited time for just $0.99. You can also contact me through my Author page here on Goodreads. Thanks and looking forward to being part of the group.
