Who is the "She" that the title of this book is referring to? What is your interpretation of the meaning of the title?

After reading this book, I was still completely at a loss as to the title. I can only guess that they were referring to the girl they buried in the woods.
I just read this book today and that is the first thing I thought about-what does the title have anything to do with the book. Actuall the tile sounds way more interesting than the book was.

I couldn't finish the book because when my parents read the first few chapters, they yelled at me for reading the rest. Can you tell me what happens at the very end? I stopped a little after the middle. Just a summary, not the whole book please :)
Your parents are wise. Carole's father hires a PI to find Carole, and gives her address in a small town in Vermont to Naomi. Naomi's husband left her, but she inherited a lot of money, and she moves to the small town to be close to Carole, who she adores for some reason. Eddie moves to small town with Naomi and marries her for her money. They pressure Carole into letting them do things with Carole's small group of friends, which includes her boyfriend, Will, who can't understand why Carole insists on including them since they are repulsive. Finally Carole tells Will about the night when Rita was killed. Will tells her she couldn't have killed Rita as her neck was not broken as Eddie claims (her body had been found and one of Carole's employees has photos of it), and explains instead that Rita asked Eddie to garrote her while they were having sex (apparently enhances orgasm -- Carole thinks she said "Garrett") and Eddie accidentally suffocated her. After Will explains this, Carole sets off in a blind (and stupid) rage to confront them. She finds signs of a struggle in their house and tracks them to the creek, where Eddie has broken Naomi's ankle, dunked her in the creek, and is leaving her there to die of exposure in the snow. He roughs up Carole and dunks her as well, but Carole is able to follow him and tricks him into falling through the snow, where he eventually dies of exposure. She passes out and wakes up in the hospital, rescued by Will who finally came to look for her. Her father comes to see her and they are reconciled (although father is still a critical jerk). The all live happy ever after (although I didn't care because the characters are shallow and unlikable.)
