P&P is definitely one of my all time favorites. Borrow it from the library, that way even if you don't like it you won't be paying for it.
One of J.A.'s best books! Definitely read it!

As a great companion, watch the mini-series starring Colin Firth as Darcy.

It's a good read.

Well if you didnt like Sense and Sensibilty..then Pride and Prejudice is probably not for you.
But I highly recommend it.

Me and my mother had a P&P marathon watching the complete 1995 series in one go. Were both major fans of it. lol

Colin Firth is a completely legitimate reason to watch anything.
I must also agree that watching the 2005 film adaptation with Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFayden(sp?) is not a good venture into the story.
Other than that, the book is fantastic. It's the most popular of all her novels for good reason...it's light, funny, romantic, paints an idyllic picture of the English countryside, and who doesn't like stories with clever girls and handsome, rich men? I recommend reading P&P to segue your way into Austen and Romantic literature. Sense and Sensibility is too angsty for a first Austen read.

It does help improve your spelling, however.
No, absolutely not watch Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightly its very similair to the book, however if you insist on reading or love to read then read.
