I really,really loved TOBIAS EATON!!He's cool,handsome,and soooo ROMANTIC.Btw guys,I would like to make a proposal about the movie(hoping to have one--cross fingers):Max Irons as Tobias.I think he's the best actor to portray the role of Four.Please post any comments or suggestion in line with this.Aherherher..Thank you!!:)

What I really loved about him is that he's the type of character who you never expected Tris to end up with in the beginning. He is... far from perfect which makes him even more loveable as a character. he is definitely in my top five favorite fictional characters. The mysterious nickname and his past pulls you in and I just can't help but want to read more. An amazing character!!

I loved Tobias, I mean, he was awesome. Thought i would never (view spoiler) but after a while i got it. I mean, he's so sweet and nice. He's so considerate and smart though. <3 (view spoiler)

I most closely related to Tobias. Strong and silent but caring. Plus he's just a bad ass.
I like the character Four/Tobias a lot! But his character confuses me a little. Sometimes he's really self-sacrificing, sometimes he's so nice, and sometimes he's mean and kindof harsh!
My favorite part in book 2 was when Tris and Four were at Amity, and Tris had been drugged and was really loopy and saying funny things. And she had the epiphany that her and Four get along so well because they're both mean! LOL.

Yeah, my friends and I talk laugh about that scene all the time. I think Tobias is awesome. He is dynamic and complex. His background is so interesting, and he is a character like no other. I just want to meet him in person.
Ugh, I know! I would love to meet him in person. hahaha. In book 1, I wondered if he had aptitude for all of the factions b/c of how he had tats for all of them. That would be cool. I forget, didn't he want the factions to be done with all along?
Yea, he doesn't like the faction system and tries to be a little bit of everything. He only has aptitude for two though.
I kind of felt bad for him a lot of times during Insurgent, because Tris wouldn't always listen to him, and he was always so afraid that she would be killed.
I love him....I feel like he is so tough but has something vulnerable about him....his character also has so much depth
I know! He character is just so interesting and complex. He's just so irresistible. He is a character they have to get right in the movie.
Tobias is a amazing name! I love the scenes with him and Tris. He has a strong personality, yet he has this vulnerability. He's protective of Tris, and has this unconditional love for her, willing to die to save her as she does too. I love this guy.

At times I love Tobias, but at other times, he acts like a complete jerk to Tris, which sometimes makes sense but sometimes doesn't.

Tobias didn't "act" kind to Tris for several reasons, except in Prague situations with no one else around. He was her instructor after all and he didn't want to give Eric a reason to torture her or hang her over he chasm. If you read Free Four it'll give you a little bit of what his thought process was.
Yeah, I get all of that. One thing that my friend and I always discuss is how annoying it can be when Tris doesn't realize something.
He only got upset/mad at her because he knew that it was the only way to get through to her stubbornness that led her to do what she thought was right. He just wanted to keep her safer from the continuous dangers she put herself in.
I found Tris kind of selfish...I also pictured her as...Well:Katniss: The girl on fire!

She was selfish in a lot of ways. That's why she couldn't be a part of abnegation anymore. Gag! Kristen Stewart is the most horrible actress I've ever seen and shouldn't be playing anyone EVER!

Tobias is amazing! If I met him, I'd run up and hug him and be like, "Sorry, you don't like to be touched!" and then I'd debate whether or not to slap him so I come across as the non-pittying type because he doesn't like being pittied...Then I'd scream, "forget this! I'll take Uriah!" and go and find him. HE IS NOT IN THE MOVIE! I AM SO SAD!

I don't know why you guys are hating on Tobias, but I want of you to know that I have claimed him and no one can have him (not even Tris)
I claimed Uriah looooooooooong before when this first book came out and wasn't popular at all! He's mine. Someone already stole Will Herondale from me. This is all I have! ...Unless I get Will back somehow...
